We had a great time. Friendly service. Hospitable. Food was top notch. Would recommend that some form of air conditioning be brought to the cottages. It was hot - at least the beautiful cooling pool bed made up for it.
Peace and quiet, absolutely beautiful, but keep in mind it's a rural farm so no hotel amenities, it has what you need, perfect if you an outdoor kind of person, the hosts were awesome and the food served there is top notch, it's a gem.
What a lovely quiet place. Our cottage was far away from the river and absolutely private. Would love to visit the place in warmer weather. It was a cold time of the year, but the owner's kindness, warm welcome, delicious food and good company drove the winter cold away. Game that is tame and can be seen from close by is a great pleasure.

Very scenic, but disappointing.
We started the holiday at Langklip on December 30, and man, were my children scared. The owners, De Wet and Sharon, assured them that nature would do them good. I cannot thank them enough today for their hospitality and service. We went on one of the tours and learned about the animals on their farm. I suggest any city lad visit the estate. Good food and company. See you soon, Sharon.
The best farm holiday we have ever had. It's like camping, without electricity, but with solar lights and your own bathroom and a nice bed. The privacy, quiet and the view was breathtaking! It's nicely centrally located and within an hour and a half at Jeffreys Bay, or Plettenberg Bay. We can also recommend the original Barnyard Theater and the Storms River "suspension" bridge. Thanks also to Langklip Team for your hospitality! We really appreciated it!

Food excellent. Friendly makes extra effort to make stay pleasant. Beautiful tame wildlife seen and fed would stay there again and highly recommend.
Langklip Estate totally over delivered on what it offered. It is a gem in the heart of the wilderness, and should not be missed.
Very nice stay. Quiet atmosphere, very nice view and I can strongly recommend meals in the restaurant. For the children, the interaction with the animals was a highlight.
Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Nice for families with kids.
The silence and surroundings are so beautiful. Sharon and De Wet are truly hospitable. If you want to rest and have a base to explore the area, this is the place for you.
We got very cold. Ceilings in the houses will help a lot. Environment is beautiful. And the service was great.
Langklip has a lot of potential and it's a beautiful place to go to for a holiday. It is safe and close to town. We will definitely go again and we're looking forward to all the expansions.
Left after about an hour of frustration. Firstly we struggled to find the place, the dirt road is very bad and the sign burnt down with the fire in December, as well as 800 hectares. The day was hot and the house as well. No cool drink, ice etc. Everything around you is burnt as well. I don't want to spend my hard-earned money and time on a place like that. You have to be aware of poor circumstances even if it is not in the owner's control. I am sorry for them but they have to let guests know about the conditions and then the price needs to be lowered.
This was our overnight stop before I bungee jumped from Bloukrans Bridge. The place was beautiful, providing absolute quiet in nature. This is the best place of you want to escape the city. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. We really felt at home.
We struggled to find this guest house as there was no name up at the gate or anywhere along the route to it. The place was locked up and there was not a single soul around, when we got there, in the designated time that they gave us, between 14:00 and 16:00. It looked very clean and nice, but we did not stay over.
No electricity. We had to drive far along dirt roads for 10 minutes with a very low vehicle. We were hungry and could not eat because the restaurant only opened late afternoon. There is nobody to take you through the accommodation and explain anything. Wanted to buy wood for making a fire, but there was only 2 bags and no firelighters! We could not charge our cellphones because there was no power! There was a fridge, but no power! Nobody informed us. We wanted to stay close to Kareedouw and was 2 km from Joubertina. We did have a wonderful dinner at a restaurant in Joubertina though!
We had such a good time! Many thanks to Sharon and De Wet for their hospitality, 4x4 route and all the chat. The tame game is something special as well as the house in which we stayed. The best is to hear the rain on a zinc roof, sleep well and take in the beautiful scenery in the morning. Will definitely visit again!
The road to the reception is very bad. We were looking forward to the desolation, so pushed on. When we arrived at the reception around 17:30, the people said they had given our reserved cottage (Eland) to someone else and had something else ready for us. We still had courage and said they should go and show us. We were then taken to another house and found out that there was no gas for cooking or a place for a barbecue. There was also no toilet/shower nearby. We would have to walk about 100 m down a ravine to use the bathroom. There are many stones and it is unsafe. (Snakes/rocks that can move.) When we complained the owners were very unpleasant. They then suggested they give us a "port-a-potty" in the room. Luckily LekkeSlaap helped us (your service was great) and we then went to sleep at Die Kraaltjie in Joubertina. Even though we didn't get there until 11:30 it was very nice. Langklip Estates will not see us again.
A great get away from the city life. Beautiful mountain views that offer you the tranquility and rest you need to unwind, along with wholesome and tasty food.
