We had a great evening at 10 Parsonage Street - De Kothuize, the pool was a treat on a sweltering day.
Very nice stay on the way to Struisbaai and back again. Large cottages with everything you need, pool was fully enjoyed, will book again in 2024.
Centrally located. Within walking distance of restaurants. Neat and great service received. We had such a good time.
Fantastic customer service, fantastically furnished and very clean and tidy!
Just one big problem. The rooms are terribly lit with street lights at night, the curtains are too light. We couldn't get the "shutters" all closed and didn't help much either. After a long day on the road, we only slept badly with the lighted room. Very pleasant - if only good curtains could be hung on the street side windows to keep rooms dark at night, please?

The accommodation was quaint and really comfortable. Loved the facilities on site, especially the pool.
The cottages are value for money. Was very well located and we were 20 meters from a restaurant. The museums are also all within walking distance. Beautiful beds and a nice atmosphere in the house. Lovely porch to relax on.
We were able to really relax and eat deliciously across the road that evening - the reservation and service were also 100%. I especially liked the nice, crisp linen and mattress in the first bedroom as well as the neat, modern bathrooms! Thank you very much, we really enjoyed the stay - so nice to be able to enjoy the comfort of a neat and clean house after a long journey! We appreciate it and would like to stay with you again - thank you, my boxer child was also welcome.

After a long day of driving, this was indeed a nice surprise. The accommodation was spacious, beautiful and comfortable. The pool was a plus. We will definitely visit there again.

Reception was friendly and efficient, the unit was clean and effort was made with the pool in case we wanted to swim. I would recommend the unit.

Only issue was a the dishcloth and dish washing cloth that were grimy, not up to standard. Next time I'd like to stay in the unit with the patch of grass. Our four-footed kids had to do their business on the tiles and it confused them. Will definitely book again since we've tried out basically all accommodations in Graaff-Reinet. Well done!

Mooi historisch verblijf, smaakvol ingericht, ruim, schoon en complete keuken, goede centrale locatie in Graaff Reinet alle bezienswaardigheden en restaurants op loopafstand. Prijs was voor ons (halverwege maart) ook heel redelijk voor de kwaliteit.
Michelle van De Kothuize once again really went out of her way to accommodate us and she even organized a camping cot for us. We will definitely be back, great value for money, friendly service and very neat!
Michele of De Kothuize is the perfect hostess and her workers made us feel at home with the hospitality of the Karoo. They are clearly proud of the place that has been entrusted in their care and they noticeably derive pleasure from ensuring everything is perfect when you arrive. More at home and satisfied we couldn't be. They take excellent care of their guests. The cottage is beautifully restored and the furniture, décor and linen gives you the feeling that you'll always retrun, as was the case with us. And the Pioneer Restaurant across the street makes the most delicious food with equally friendly service. Convenient, because you can just walk across the street to your beautiful, white canopy bed to sleep your cares away.

Exquisite cottage in the heart of Graaff-Reinet with safe parking. The location is walking-distance from the main tourist attractions. The house is stylishly furnished. The kotchen is well-equipped. Bedrooms are comfortable, perfect linen, bathrooms more than sufficient. Both nights were very cold but we were kept cozy by the heating. Pity about the noisy bar across the road. I'm sure something can be done about it. The absence of WiFi was bothersome - this should be standard nowadays.
Stunning little house, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds. Michelle is a fantastic host. One night is just too short to stay here. Graaff Reinet has so much to offer. Next time we will stay longer.

The stay was great! We stayed two nights but could easily have spent longer. The pool was nice to have and I really enjoyed cooling off in the afternoon. The visiting area on the private stoep by the braai area made us feel very much at home, and provided a nice end to the visit on the last evening.
The service is professional, prompt and friendly. The cottage is beautiful and equipped with absolutely everything one could need... even a bundle of wood and fire lighters for barbecuing! The location is ideal as it is within walking distance of all the historic gems of Graaff-Reinet and the best places to eat. We can highly recommend this cute cottage. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Everything was 100% and we regretted not being able to stay longer. The most delicious food at the restaurant directly opposite the unit. It really is value for money!
Very nice street to be on. Safe parking for our car and even waffles were welcome. Service was great and the place has been lovingly restored.
