The caretaker, Martie, is a very friendly person who is very helpful. We made full use of the pool and of course the place is walking distance from the lagoon & sea. Would anyone recommend staying there for a weekend, holiday, etc. We had a great time at Kabeljauws.

Would recommend cutlery (knives) to be updated a bit and those basics like a wine opener are in every flat - we didn't have however could borrow from the neighbours, just a small note.

I didn't have to take anything with me like braai facilities, everything was available. We could sit outside by the fire late with an open door. The lagoon is walking distance around the corner, you can go fishing. On the premises is a swimming pool if you don't like river water. Will go back again anytime.

It was a great place to stay, the caretaker took good care of us and accommodated our rally car which couldn't fit into the yard with extra security. Much appreciated. For a longer stay, just add hairdryer and iron.

We were 3 adults and wanted separate rooms as my mother-in-law was going along. The unit was actually a one bedroom then and the third guest would have to sleep on the couch. Nevertheless when we checked in on Friday they gave us the 3 bedroom unit and we really appreciated it. The people are very friendly and the weekend was fantastic. Will definitely go back again. Lagoon and sea are walking distance and we were lucky and had good weather. The break did us all good. Many thanks to the owner and Martie for their kindness.

It's walking distance from the lagoon and beach. Martie came to collect the key from us on Monday and was again very friendly and helpful. I would only suggest that a sensor be installed on the sliding gate where you enter the yard, the gate closes itself after a certain time regardless of whether there is a vehicle in the opening or not.

Kabeljauws 28 is a very clean fully sufficient place to stay, it has very well maintained, it is walking distance from the beach and the manager, Martie, is true Gem to the place.

We had a great stay, caretaker was very helpful, we really enjoyed our stay there.
The accommodation is value for your money and has all the necessities of a self-catering unit. I need to mention that as someone that has stayed in many self-catering accommodations, our departure on the Sunday morning was a very uncomfortable one. On arrival I was told that the cleaning of the units is done by the lady herself and that she does not have any one that assists her. I was asked that if I won't mind to remove all bedding for her on the day of departure then we can leave a bit later than the normal departure time of 10:00. I agreed to do so. On the departure day around 8:30 the lady first went to the bottom apartment to go and clean. The gentleman below was very unhappy and must have said that they were not ready. Then she came up to our apartment and because the door was already open, walked in and started to do the laundry. This made us very uncomfortable as the departure time is at 10:00 ─ cleaning is usually done there after. When we left, she asked if we used the grill for the braai and said that we must make sure everything is clean as it is not her responsibility. We always tidy up after ourselves when we stay in a self-catering accommodation but this was ridiculous. I recommend that the occupants should not be disturbed until the departure time of 10:00 and to not request the occupants on the day of arrival to remove the bedding for washing and to assist in cleaning.

Very clean and tidy, I would have enjoyed my stay if it weren't for the ants and cockroaches. Even had to throw away some of the food in the fridge because the ants were also getting into the fridge. I think that the owner should call in pest control to get rid of the cockroaches.

I will recommend this place to my friends anytime. It is nice and spacious, well furnished and very neat and stylish too. The fact that my car could be parked in a lock-up garage behind a security gate was very reassuring. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay there.
Good value for money but customer service is poor. In my opinion, the caretaker does not know how to handle people. At the welcome, she asked me gruffly, just after introducing herself, why I didn't call her, but the owner. My reason was because I followed the instructions. After that I asked her why she was done yelling at me. To which she replied that she had already called me the day before. She also mentioned that she cleans the place herself. Also know that you have to clean up after yourself, otherwise you lose the R150 deposit. With this fact, you walk around all the time and make sure everything is neat and in its place and clean, too afraid of losing your money. No one takes a vacation or overnight stay like that. The R500 deposit contributes to the unpleasant stay. I would suggest the owners consider other options. I travel a lot and have never had to comply with such a request. I know it's in the fine print, but I was booking in quite a hurry and didn't notice it. The supervisor did remind me to always read the fine print. The place itself is very cute, we especially enjoyed the indoor barbecue. We didn't shower or fry at all, reason for that as above. My advice would be, add the R150 to the total for the accommodation and arrange services yourself like everyone else does.
We visit Jeffreys Bay at least once a year. I can honestly say that this is one of the better places we have stayed so far. Well done. Keep it that way. We will definitely see you again.

My wife and I found the accommodation to be of a high standard. The only problem was that the TV didn't work. We brought it to attention but could not be repaired during our stay. Other than that, everything was in order and we really enjoyed the short time there.

Kitchen is equipped with most appliances to cook and even bake. Baths and showers were clean with fresh towels etc. Martie was friendly and gave us privacy. The place can do with a more comfortable couch for two people to cuddle while watching TV. Overall very good stay.

The building in front is unsafe. Safety is paramount when families with children stay there. Furthermore, the place needs a little attention on the inside, but what is also a plus is the washing machine it has inside. Then I feel the tub is unsafe to stand in and shower because you can slip.

Was really special! The apartment was extremely neat, spacious and modern. The children could play outside on the large lawn and ride bikes. The service was excellent and the people very friendly. Cod is a bit (5 km) from the main beach, but it suited us perfectly because when we felt like the "buzz" we drove, otherwise we sat at the nearby beach or lagoon which is walking distance.
