We had a very nice stay. The hostess was excellent. She made a lot of effort with us (Easter egg hunt for our 4-year-old in the garden + lent a buggy and graph for the beach for our boy). The place was neat and clean. The kitchen has all the necessary supplies. It's a nice little place.
Hubby & I had a lovely, relaxing stay at this beautiful little place So nice waking up to the beautiful sounds of the birds & surrounded by the beautiful plants & trees! A short walk took us onto a beautiful beach The host was very friendly & super helpful! We will definitely be going back to this little gem.
I stayed in the Gecko room, and apart from the beautiful decor, the unit is very neat and practical with everything and more that one could need. The garden is beautiful and creates a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. The hostess is very helpful, friendly and makes you feel right at home. Secure parking. Keep in mind there are some stairs to climb to the room, but it's worth it.

We got more than we paid for. On arrival our accommodation was upgraded. The accommodation is very nice and has everything one needs in a home. The area in which accommodation is located is very peaceful. Sanumi is an excellent hostess and very kind.
From arrival to departure we were pampered by our hostess. The accommodation is well equipped and meets most of our needs. Water restrictions are unfortunate and disruptive, but the hostess was very helpful.
Our hostess, Sunami, was amazing - we were upgraded to a bigger unit when we arrived and we had a wonderful stay.

Our accommodation was very comfortable and in keeping with the true beach holiday expectations. The only recommendation would be to provide loungers for the apartment we were staying in to facilitate late afternoon post-beach reading in the afternoon sunshine! And to make the most of the privacy of the well-cared-for garden! This is not a criticism at all, just a suggestion!

The cottage was completely adequate with everything one needed. We were welcomed by the hostess on a really friendly basis. Loads made things difficult, but it was Eskom. For older people like us, I would not recommend the place because there are an awful lot of stairs to climb, but I must add that the hostess offered helpers to get our stuff upstairs.
Very boring environment with no access to TV. Not an ideal place to unwind.

Very clean and tidy, the pool is an absolute bonus. Just get ready for a steep set of stairs to the unit and keep the windows closed, the monkeys are having a good time there! Very friendly hostess and helpful, would go back anytime. Port Alfred beach is also very beautiful and clean.

The idea was time-out and that was exactly what I got! The location is fantastic, it's wonderfully quiet with just the ocean you hear. Very well equipped with everything you need. Bedding, towels, pillows - everything perfect. Units are also very private. Will definitely recommend and will go back again. The stairs/hill to the unit is nice, but you are informed beforehand so it's not a surprise. Just take a little something for mosquitoes.

The place was fully booked but there was no noise, the old stuff really looked nice though, the gas part for the geyser. Water was lukewarm. The owner and the manager very friendly and tend to all our needs.

We had a very nice stay. We were welcomed very kindly by the hostess and were even upgraded for free to a larger unit which was very nice, especially with a two year old. We stayed in Rusty Hook, the unit was very nice, clean and tidy and had everything you need. The beach is nice and close so you can just walk if you want. We decided to try out their homemade pizzas on the last night and would highly recommend it, it's delicious!
It was our second stay at 3040 on Freshwater and we'll book again next year.

Not recommended for people with walking disabilities as some units are built on a steep incline.
We stayed at Gecko Cove and really enjoyed this place. It is authentic, rather quirky and close to the beach. Moreover, if you decide to accept the option for a dinner, you can be sure you get a fantastic dinner. The table was even laid for us, so we could dig in straight after our walk on the beach. Walking distance to the beach - what else do you want?

Lovely cottage, hidden away from the bustle yet only a two minute walk to a beautiful beach. The cottage had a private splash pool surrounded by lush green foliage and mature trees. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Definitely going back again!
