There was a problem with Vodacom network in the whole town. The host kept me informed the whole time via WhatsApp. She waited for me outside and kept the gate open until I arrived. The breakfast was to die for, best ever. Everything at 36 on Boom was excellent. The host was always there to assist with whatever I wanted. We could talk about everything. I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you very much.
After struggling with extremely bad roads from Clarens to Zastron, it was amazing to see the state of the town. Potholes and all cross roads are 4x4 quality. What a tremendous surprise when we drove into 36 on Boom. Kathy kept us informed the whole time via WhatsApp. Our unit was spotlessly clean and excellently equipped. We also had use of a communal kitchen. The breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. Afternoons we sat on the porch with our own snacks. Both evenings we ate at Nell's Restaurant, about 800 m away. Can't believe there is such a good restaurant in Zastron. In summary: Zastron is a big mess, but 36 on Boom and Nell's were absolutely excellent!

Our host had thought of every possible creature comfort to make us feel special: big towels, amazing bedding, warm strong showers, sherry for a nightcap, TV, electric blankets, etc. etc. etc. Just wonderful. We will be back.

Apartments new and very cozy. Well equipped. In the garden is a clear pool. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Owner very nice. She advised us to choose a restaurant for dinner. She was helpful.
I enjoyed staying at 36 On Boom B & B. The location is so tranquillising, you feel so relaxed and the breeze and the melodies from the birds, not forgetting the mountain view. I can carry on and on about the cleanliness of the room. Yes I will definitely recommend 36 On Boom B & B for a stay.

Kathy was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The accommodation was clean and neat and well located in Zastron between the Eastern Cape and Gauteng. I slept well and will go back on my next travels.

The room was neat and well furnished.
We paid more for this accommodation than we paid either in Bloemfontein or Clarens both of which were more comfortable and far better equipped than 36 on Boom. The hand wash basin was the smallest I have ever seen and one had to wash one's cup or glass in it. Hennie the host was charming and helpful.

Guests feel welcome and service is great.
The town needs upgrading, but the B&B is well located, rooms are very comfortable, staff are friendly, it's safe and there is good parking available. For the winter there is nice air conditioning, but perhaps the owner could consider adding a warm electric blanket. Zastron is really cold, but quiet.
Best quality of everything. Owner was the best host!! Food was outstanding.
