There is a lovely main sandy beach with a beautiful boardwalk and also a river. The river serves as a great place for activities such as canoeing and kayaking. Gonubie is close to the highway that leads to East London and the big Hemmingway Mall.

The Couple was very friendly and receptive upon our arrival and also very helpful. The accommodation was clean and neat as well as the surroundings on premises. One recommendation would be to create more kitchen space especially if ones stay is longer then a few days but other then that no hassles whatsoever. Our host was very friendly. Called us before the time to say just call when we near. Explained everything about the unit to us and said to shout if we needed anything. Everything was neat and clean.
Our suite was well equipped with everything we needed for our overnight stay.
In good weather the pool is a plus.
The visit was wonderful. We booked quickly the day before and were surprised when we could watch premium DStv and WiFi was also included.

We really had a great stay!
We were still on our way to East London when Altea got in touch and wished us a safe journey. The place is very centrally located and very well furnished. Upon arrival we were kindly received by Robbie. Altea put out cookies and coffee for us and made us feel very welcome. The unit is nice and warm and there were extra blankets for the evenings. It was a nice place to visit and it was nice that we were private from the house. We really had a nice rest and stay. Feel like we made new friends and will definitely stay there again.

We loved it, Altea was very welcoming, helpful. The self catering unit was everything I hoped it would be, we will def come back again and would recommend this self catering unit 100%. My car was safe, we felt safe, it was like home away from home,we loved it.

Very clean and tidy. We felt safe. Will definitely stay there again. After a long drive from Pretoria it was incredibly nice to walk into the apartment and rest. There was everything we needed. Slept incredibly well. Recommend the place to everyone.
