Not only is the natural beauty and tranquility fantastic, the cute and tidy accommodation literally has everything you need for a self-catering break. What a fantastic place to spend a romantic weekend! Set on a cliff overlooking a tranquil valley, Aloe Rock Cabin has every possible amenity a couple could dream of. From the private jacuzzi and swimming pool to the personal bonfire and choice of 3 braai options, through to the spa bath, outdoor shower and king-size bed, this place has it all. As an added bonus, the hostess has set the bar high for every other venue with personal touches like strawberries and wine and she offers the perfect amount of interaction for her guests to let you know that she is available to cater to your needs. The photos don't even do justice to the spectacular views, or quite capture the peace and beauty - it's definitely something you have to experience for yourself!

From the quick feedback on availability, good communication and directions, personal service and friendliness to the final checkout, the whole experience was nothing but positive. The beautiful stone house offers everything needed and more. The Jacuzzi is wonderful, as is the outdoor shower and various braai and meeting corners around the stone house. The visiting areas are designed so that they can be enjoyed in any weather conditions. Lizette's effort and hospitality to have everything perfect made the getaway extra special. Belis a place we will visit again.

From meeting at the gate and the quick walk through on all the amenities to the roses, champagne and chocolates thoughtfully laid out on the bed. I could instantly tell I had made the right decision for a weekend get away. I will however agree that the location is not child friendly and should be used for a weekend retreat to recharge the old batteries, and have a chat without the ankle biters around. Thank again for a great weekend.

"Absolutely wonderful, it was a breakaway like no other."

The cabin is not too far from Johannesburg, we had a lovely drive, there is gravel so I suggest using a vehicle that is higher, however, it was not a bad gravel road. The cabin is secluded, safe, there is an alarm, it is very private and ideal for a weekend break. It was well stocked, we received a lovely fruit basket and a bottle of champagne on arrival. There is firewood and extra ice. It is fully self-catering which suited us fine as there is a microwave, fridge, stove and toaster, it has everything you may need. There is WiFi as well as a smart TV. It was rainy and cold so we would have really enjoyed having a real fireplace inside the cabin but other than that, we did use the aircon and had a heater to warm up the room. The outdoor jacuzzi was lovely, the outdoor shower gets nice and hot. Our host also closed the patio for us and supplied with an outdoor gas heater which really warmed us up. The cabin has so much to offer and is perfect for a couple looking for a weekend away to reconnect. Our host really went above and beyond to ensure that every small thing we would need was provided from gowns to warm up in as well as toiletries, plenty of toilet roll, a generator in case of loadshedding. I would give my host a full 5 stars as she was amazing and kept in touch with us throughout the week before we arrived as well as when we were there. I will definitely book this cabin again, I absolutely enjoyed my weekend at Aloe Rock Cabin.
