Great stay at Anchorage Inn. The owners are hospitable and helpful. The unit exceeded all our expectations and is very neat and well equipped. The environment is quiet, peaceful and safe. The ideal place from which to explore the beautiful surroundings.
The unit is very neat and the kitchen is well equipped. However, the parking is difficult to access from the unit and if two cars are parked, it is difficult to load and unload luggage. Koos and Gayle are very friendly and helpful.
We stayed 1 night and Anchorage met all our needs.

We went to Montagu for a family event. The guesthouse was conveniently located. Clean, spacious and safe.
Had everything needed. The electric blankets were a nice surprise. And Monica also lent us walking sticks when she heard we wanted to go for a walk.

The self-catering unit we stayed in was incredibly neat and clean with a warm feel. We immediately felt at home. Monica went out of her way to explain to us which restaurants provide good quality service and, believe me, we were not disappointed. A guide with complete information of what Montagu has to offer, as well as route directions was a plus. I definitely give this guest house a 10 out of 10.

Just change the photo of the guest house. It is misleading as a part on the photo is no longer a part of it.
If it wasn't for the neighbor's dog that kept us awake all night barking and the roosters that woke us up at five o'clock, (certainly not the hostess's fault that the neighbor's animals make so much noise) I would have given it ten out of ten has. Then the pool is no longer available either. (I think the ad said there was a pool.) The accommodation itself is very spacious, neat and clean. All amenities available. The only thing I miss in all guesthouses is an iron and board. There are ways to lock an iron's cord with a chain to attach the power plug to the wall. Then there should be no theft. One does not usually travel with an iron. I was very impressed with the beautifully maintained buildings, the lovely thatched roof, nice interior and the spaciousness of the unit. I would like to stay there again, if I know I have to get up early, otherwise I'm going to catch that chicken and cook it for a Sunday meal.
It is a lovely room with all the necessary facilities. Parking is safe.

We had a very nice overnight stay at Anchorage Inn. It was a lovely experience. It was comfortable, tidy and the breakfast was delicious. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The next day, with the help of their advice and directions of the road and wine farms, we had a wonderful experience through the most beautiful part of our country. We will definitely stay there again.
