It's the most amazing place ever! You only see the views from the cottage in magazines! We had a very nice stay. Spacious and very clean house.
Nice location, cottage well equipped, good WiFi. Load shedding lamps available.
Bed in master bedroom is uncomfortable. It cracks with every turn.
It was an experience to see the beautiful mountain, white storks and other birds, the cows also very beautiful with their soft eyes, eyelashes and black noses! Also the heat when we make a fire in the open hearth when it's cold outside! We had a great stay!

A wonderful setting to enjoy Christmas. All the comforts. Lovely walks and a bit of bass fishing. Setting is amazing.

Appelsbosch Farm Cottage is a hauntingly beautiful place. The Melkstal is wonderfully large with enough space for a whole family (we plan to take our children with us in the summer!). It is only a few kilometers drive to all the places we wanted to visit. It is so quiet and peaceful on the farm with the most beautiful sunrises and we rested well. We made use of the indoor braai and the WiFi and Neflix were a bonus! We will definitely visit Appelsbosch Guest Farm again.
We enjoyed it very much. It is very nice, clean and tidy accommodation. Will stay there again anytime. When it is load shedding, one cannot take a shower, because the pump that works with electricity to pressurize the water does not work. That's all that was a problem. The kitchen also has everything you need. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!
Definitely a good option to relax and explore the surroundings. The cottage is well equipped although there are a few things that need maintenance (lights and broken bottle openers). The farm is excellently located near Swellendam and on the main road to other towns in the area. The view from the porch and privacy are big pluses.

Such a comfortable space and beautiful view. Was so relaxing would like to come back and stay for longer to explore the farm a bit more. My 2 year old loved the cows and trackers!

We only stayed here for one night as our first stop on our honeymoon. It is a beautiful, peaceful place with a wonderful view. We regret we could not spend more time here.
If you want to kick off your shoes and sit on the porch with a cup of coffee, and stare at the mountains and forest, here you can. The beautiful sounds of the animals living in the forest are something to keep your ears perked up for. Fresh air, green fields and silence!

The accommodation is basic but stylish. Location on a working dairy farm with fantastic views of the Swellendamberge. Nice porch and comfortable furniture, inside fireplace etc. Nice place for children with bikes and lawns with lots of play space.
The view was amazing, definitely an accommodation with a lot of walking trails.
The environment and activities for a family are so many. It was a lovely getaway for a weekend. We were there too short to do everything in the town and surrounding area. Come for a longer visit next time.

I'd strongly recommend this.
We had a wonderful stay, but on Saturday night when we wanted to take a shower there was not a drop of water. The men tried to look at the tank to see what the problem was but could not find anything. We just wiped it off and went to sleep hoping it would be fine the next morning but still there was no drop of water. After a while it seemed that the cold water came through at least faintly but not a drop of hot water. They will have to have future guests look at the water for sure - it was very inconvenient. Luckily we only stayed one night and the men went swimming with my uncle on Sunday. Otherwise, the stay was very nice, clean and tidy. However, we had to leave the dishes like that on Sunday due to the fact that there was no water - Sorry!

We were a family of 10 and we all stayed comfortably together. The dirt road wasn't bad, just very rocky and not really meant for a small/luxury car.
We really enjoyed our stay and it really is a fairytale beautiful setting. I don't think the kitchen is quite adequate for self catering, but it was quite adequate for 2 people for a couple of nights. The rooms are very neat and it is close enough to the town. Will definitely recommend it to others.

It was really pleasant. The reception was warm, the accommodation was neat and well equipped, the view is lovely, the walk in the field towards the mountain is truly something special. The cows and dairy were a great source of fascination, especially for the children. The visits around the kitchen table next to the built-in braai were unforgettable. Would definitely recommend Appelsbosch.

We received a friendly welcome and felt at home from the minute we arrived. The beds were warm and comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for our needs. We loved the card and board games made available for the evenings around the large kitchen table.

Appelsbosch is a hidden gem. The place has a real farm feel - the smell, the location and the sounds. The place exceeded our expectations. On arrival we also received a home-baked farm sandwich, wrapped in a cloth and placed in a basket with jam. The whole experience was so unique and special. Exactly what we needed. I would definitely recommend the place and visit again.

With 3 children under 5, the farm was a winner! Milked calves, watched chickens and lambs and had a nice walk. The cottage is spotlessly clean with a lovely shower. Very neat. Friendly service by the owners. Very good location - very close to Swellendam.

We immediately felt at home in a beautiful room/apartment with fresh proteas greeting us. A nice walk around the farm and the recommendations of where to go for a visit really contributed to an incredible holiday.
What a lovely experience, when we arrived the hostess arrived with freshly baked bread and jam; the reception is really cordial and warm; it's a working farm, so they are always there and at hand if the guests need anything. Lynelle (Meiring) and I really enjoyed it; we needed to get away from our respective areas just to catch our breath and recharge for the week ahead. The surroundings are as beautiful as a picture, the cottage is fully equipped, neat, clean, nicely furnished; I can really recommend the place; I already referred another friend by the way; hope she gets out of there! Keep it up Carina and JJ; you have a winning recipe; next time we stay longer and catch a fish in the pond.
