The accommodation comprises 4 well-equipped, self-catering farm cottages. Each cottage can sleep 4 guests and has a private bathroom. The cottages are simply, yet stylishly furnished, with light and airy interiors that open onto a veranda equipped with a braai and picnic table.
Guests can bring their own mountain bike and choose the best route according to their level of fitness, or play tennis, enjoy bird watching, fishing- or canoeing on the Breede River. Private wine tastings and handmade platters or picnic baskets are also available on-site. Everything needs to be booked in advance.
Arendsig Cottages also offers breakfast options, at an additional fee.

Our stay was lovely. Breathtaking views of the vineyards with such a relaxing atmosphere. A great break away from the city.
Beautiful place and pleasant if you like silence! Plonspoel a plus and we could also walk a lot on the farm. Only obstacle was that storage space in the bathroom is limited and clothes storage spaces are also scarce. I would recommend that the box above the toilet be placed below the shelf on the opposite side as my husband bumped his head against it a few times. Front room should add another shelf unit as the existing unit is limited. Place it e.g. under the existing shelf that is against the wall.
The owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The wood fire hot tub was the highlight during a cool weekend. You just have to use enough wood and start heating early to get it nice and warm. Saturday's wine tasting was also very special. Thanks Arendsig!
Lourens and Lizelle were very accommodating, and Lizelle even came to check that we were happy.

The farm is so picturesque, morning, afternoon and evening. The cottage was nice and clean and had everything we would need. We look forward to staying there again!
Lizelle and Lourens made us feel very much at home and we had a great time. There is exceptional bird life and it is very nice to hear the ospreys early in the morning when you drink your coffee. We would like to visit again because the weekend was just too short to fully enjoy the place. We would really recommend it.

Die Brede cottage was lovely, private, had a beautiful view and was spacious enough to accommodate 4 adults. Each room had an en suite bathroom and air-con. We will definitely be back.

The wine tasting was fantastic with Lourens sharing so much information. The location is beautiful and perfect for exploring the area. The accommodation is very nice and the outside hot tub is a lovely feature. The river is so close by and beautiful.
Lizelle is very friendly, everything is provided in the cottage, even 5 liters of water. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!
Our family needed a getaway where we could relax with many activities. Arendsig was a gem and together with the fishing and walking as well as the tranquility we will definitely make a visit again.

Arendsig's houses are beautifully located along the Breë River. It was such a fun weekend that we didn't want to go home. So quiet and peaceful and a beautifully beautiful setting. We will definitely visit again.
I think that R2k a night is a bit stiff. It may be an idea to give directions not only from Robertson direction but from the opposite direction also. We came from that side and we had a bit of trouble finding it. I put Arendsig Cottages into Google Maps and it took us down the Gaitjie track. We did not know that the correct gate was only 20 m further on.

Yes, relax here. Lizelle and her dogs immediately made me feel at home. Sitting among the vineyards and clinking a glass to the previous vintage, with a braai fire in the making, is blissful. The cottage is very well planned and clean.

The weekend at Arendsig was food for the soul! As we run away from screens to find rest for the soul again, there is an abundance of peace and quiet on the farm. Very few people and a lot of silence on Arendsig! We had a wonderful rest.
