It was delicious. Just a shame that we were silenced after 11pm for laughing too hard, we just laughed in our "inner sleeve" after that, which made for more. Other than that it was a lovely get together.

Reception and cleaners are friendly and helpful. Feel safe with many friends for the children. Everything is nice and clean and taken care of.
We really enjoyed our time at the Island. The resort is very neat and the staff very helpful and friendly. First aid is very quick when you need them and the on-site spa is definitely a plus. The shop has everything one needs and the restaurant has delicious food. Over the holidays, the stock in the store in terms of soft drinks got a little low, but it was quickly replenished again on the 27th. We can definitely recommend the Island. One does not have to leave the premises to do something outside, because everything and more is available on the resort. Even if it's raining or cloudy, there are still activities to do.

The people are friendly and helpful. The rondavels are neat, well equipped and spacious. The resort is well maintained and has a wide range of facilities. The WiFi was a bit slow at times.
Clean, tidy, food is affordable and of good quality. Everything is tidy and the chalets have been completely redone. The double bed is hopelessly too small for a larger person. Everything is just right. Had a great time and everyone was very friendly. Thank you very much.

The chalet was very clean, and the layout was very practical. The kids loved the horses and the super tube. My husband and I enjoyed the warm water swimming pool, which was our go-to for the weekend, along with the slushy drinks at the kiosk.
The ideal holiday spot for everyone, young to old, young to old. Has all the facilities, amenities and services required. Everything is beautifully maintained and works great. Own power source during load shedding makes you forget about Eskom.

The entertainment team is excellent and the effort to control load shedding is excellent. It is really appreciated. The daily rondavel cleaning is not up to standard. But overall an incredible holiday!

The resort is very tidy - the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rondavels are very well equipped and comfortable, you can't ask for more.
The place was clean, staff friendly and some great activities.
Block A by the water before short renovation work. It must be sheltered from mud water or pavement must be laid so that caravans and caravans and tents can be higher than the water when it rains. We had to return a day early because our tents were moldy and muddy and completely uninhabitable.
Resort offers a lot to do for children big and small, entertainment is good. Resort is neat and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

There is nothing to complain about. Everything was available, didn't need to drive to a town for any shopping. All I would recommend for a few things inside the chalet are porridge bowls, steak knives and scissors. The entertainment program must be updated daily and available the night before to be able to plan around it, some of the activities that were on the program were not even offered. There should also be more sporting activities for adults.
The restaurant is a highlight and the staff are very friendly. The atmosphere and the woodland paradise are wonderful and we had a great time relaxing. We will definitely visit again!

I had been worried about the bed because we had been disappointed at other holiday places, but I was surprised with how well we could rest there. Already felt much better by day 3. Oh, it's just a great place.

Everything is within walking distance which is great. Overall nice stay, only problem was the Wi-Fi connection. No connection available at the rondawels, only near the shop and restaurant.

We had fun swimming and barbecuing and hanging out. We especially enjoyed the steps along the letaba river. Beautiful scenery and named trees are a bonus. Feel free to pay more attention to the walking route.

Only our neighbors made noise with loud music that is not in our class, and the next morning they broke down some of the mopani trees to make a fire. Experienced about 2 or 3 cockroaches in the kitchen, but otherwise everything was very neat and clean.

There are more than enough activities to keep yourself busy. The many birds were a plus for me - I could take many photos.
Peaceful getaway for young and old. Hydro pool and hot pool delightful with slide that entertains children and teenagers all day. People were all friendly and law abiding.

Very dry, but service was friendly. Only complaint is that if there is more than one vehicle per campsite, the extra cost was not mentioned with our booking. R130 per extra vehicle can turn a cheap parking space into a less cheap option very quickly.

We spent the night at ATKV, no check-out time was given to us, and the next morning we were awakened by repeated knocking on the door and windows. We were still in sleeping clothes and the cleaner was quite rude with us. And the more we told her we were on the phone with the reception the more she spoke in between and rude, she sat there and gave no privacy to me or my boyfriend, we were chased away and then left with reception arranged for us to shower only, when I was in the shower my boyfriend brought it to my attention that an Afrikaans-speaking man threatened him. We immediately removed ourselves and didn't even eat breakfast. Where we started our long weekend with a sour taste at another rest camp.
We were there for 3 nights. Was just what we needed - bushland tranquility. The unit had everything we needed.
The service was good to me unfortunately I had a tire puncture on my way going there and upon my arrival I was told to hurry up because the receptionist want to close. I felt that pain. Remember I had to replace my wheel around past 8 in the middle of nowhere but I enjoyed my self after all.

Our accommodation was off the charts, definitely going to stay at the ATKV resorts again. Clean, great service, meals, everything was wonderful. The animals were of course a great bonus.
We did not use the resort in the sense of swimming. It was a center where we and friends could meet. So it would be unfair if I review the place. The list of contents was not posted openly, but was posted under other (rather dirty) notices. I only discovered this when we packed up. It had to be completed within 2 hours of arrival. There were reasonable differences between me and the cleaner's numbers, sometimes there were more items than in the rondavel, sometimes less. Fortunately, reception accepted my reasons and there were no charges. We searched to our deaths for the mop that should have been in the rondavel. My husband discovered (saw) it on the highest point of the roof.
I enjoyed it very much. It was so exciting being here. I'm sure that I wil visit again.
Eiland Spa can best be described as a family holiday place. In winter time most visitors are elderly people and pensioners. Everyone is very friendly and you immediately feel included. The cleanliness of the place is commendable, which includes the rondavels where we stayed. Top rating!
Great place, very neat and comfortable.
Our experience had been quite positive. The pool, shop and horse riding were good experiences. However, there were a few things that bothered: the broken hydro bath was not communicated to us (we were quite looking forward to it), the rock hard kwaito music all Saturday from the workers' compound, the power cut on Saturday afternoon, as well as the poor water pressure (after shower and toilet - unit 92), the units and grills could definitely have been cleaned better. My experience in the past was much better, the service was not as prompt and friendly this time as in the past. Hopefully it was just a bad weekend and we will try again in the future.

Everything was wonderful, except for the check-in process, we booked for 6 adults, but there was only room for 4 and it was expected of us that 2 adults had to sleep on a sleeper couch.

R421R421R295A variety of accommodation is offered, set against a classic bushveld background. All units are equipped for self-catering and can accommodate between 2-6 guests. The air-conditioned units are comprised of a bathroom, a kitchen area equipped with a fridge, microwave, and an oven and stove, and an outdoor braai area. A TV with DStv is also provided. Linen and bath towels are provided and these are changed every 4th day.
