We stayed at this lovely self-catering unit for a year ago in 2019. Now back in 2023 and it's still fantastic. Pat is an excellent hostess! Everything you need and the washing machine for longer stays is great. We booked for 3 nights but stayed 6. Thanks Pat!

I have booked for my friend and her wife at the establishment, my friends were very happy to stay at the establishment, the owner is very friendly and accommodating, my friends can't stop talking about the good treatment they received from the owner, Pat, please keep up the good work.
Lovely perfect place, nice and clean, calming and enjoyable taking a walking to the shops/town. For me everything was top-notch, I felt like staying for long.

Pat, our hostess, welcomed us to the premises. Coffee and various types of tea, sugar and milk provided a refreshment after the long drive. Good Wi-Fi on a battery and a light that comes on when Eskom goes down ensured that we could communicate with the outside world in the light. The residential unit and premises are very neat and in a safe neighbourhood. The price is reasonable and much lower than in comparable accommodation.
Very neat little apartment. Very convenient to be near Vergelegen Mediclinic. Pat is an excellent hostess and makes sure everything is in order. Also close to shops if needed. Parking is a bit of a challenge but safe behind a gate.
We would recommend this cottage for a couple needing to be close to all amenities in the Helderberg area.

The accommodation is good and tidy. The parking space is very tight for a large vehicle with quite a few other vehicles also parking in the driveway.
We found our host extremely helpful and thoughtful. She really goes above and beyond of what is expected of a self-catering unit. The unit was very neat and tidy with fresh flowers and even fresh milk, filter coffee and rusks. The unit had everything needed for a good stay.

The sofa bed that doubles as a couch is very uncomfortable, the unit is not private and there was no lighting outside at night.

This is much better than any hotel room. The area is quiet and it felt like home from home. Will definitely use this accommodation again in the future. Even though this is a self-catering unit, the host has put coffee, tea, milk etc. in the unit. Really appreciated this.
Very neat apartment with almost everything you need. Linen and bedding are of good quality and everything is orderly and clean. Pat is a good host who makes you feel at home and her brochure with references to doctors, shopping malls, emergency numbers, etc. just add more value. We enjoyed the drinks and rusks a lot. It is a place to be proudly presented.
Friendly, safe environment.
We had a lovely stay and had everything we needed. The apartment is well equipped and the hostess was keen to make us feel welcome and also made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Pat took care of the finer things like fresh milk in the fridge for coffee and fresh flowers in the room. We noticed it and really appreciated it.
More than expected, the extras like milk, cornflakes, rusks etc. were a bonus. Will definitely recommend Barbacle Tree.

Friendly hostess, comfortable unit. Some plumbing issues. As with most accommodation, there is no hook for a mosquito net, for those of us who don't want chemical inhalation. The iron did not work, but there is a good clothes stand. The kitchen is well laid out, the lounge is comfortable and there is a nice outside table with chairs.
