The fully equipped apartment was very comfortable. The host and hostess were friendly and accommodating. Load power was not a problem because the apartment has a gas stove and there are solar panels which means that there were no power cuts. We will definitely go again and recommend it to friends.
Everything you would need was there, washing machine to dishwasher. It was like being at your own home, peaceful area just what you want if you want to relax. Thank you Maggie for the extra effort you made for an extra bed. Will come back again anytime, our second home.
We stayed one night at Bayit Elohim, but will definitely stay there if we need accommodation in Hermanus again. Our hostess's hospitality was exceptional. The place is well located, safe, quiet environment, close to a big shopping center and also close to the beach. We felt really welcome.

It was in an amazing time with my wife and kids from 10 to 12 January 2023 at Bayit Elhom house. Friendly people, and awesome hospitality, clean place, equipped with everything. I really highly recommended to everyone who looking for holidays.

We had the most incredible time at aunt maggie and uncle hennie's home. They are the friendliest people ever will go back again anytime and then the auntie can also bake, chocolate cake that melts in your mouth. My little girl still talks about her delicious birthday cake that the auntie baked.

We really enjoyed our time at Bayit. Maggie and Uncle Hennie, thank you for your neat place. Everything self-catering must have. It's a quiet area if you just want to switch off. I have to be honest that it won't be that comfortable if you're going to be a group of friends, because the bathroom is a sliding door that can't lock. It didn't bother us because we were just family. Overall for cleanliness 10 out of 10. Furthermore, we enjoyed the Hermanus area so much. The Whale Festival was our real goal of the weekend. It was an absolute experience to be able to see the whales so close.

We would love to visit here again, enjoyed the quiet surroundings, the apartment is so well equipped, neat, clean and the linen was exclusive! Lovely hosts - with welcome muffins on arrival. Although the apartment is located against the owners' house, we still felt private with the small barbecue at the front door. There is a door connecting the apartment and house for those looking for total privacy, but it didn't bother us!

It was my youngest birthday and Hennie brought us the most delicious chocolate brownies ever, in honour of my baby's birthday. That absolutely had me sold on coming back to enjoy your beautiful property every chance we get. We could check out later as well at no extra cost and that was an absolute bonus as the kids enjoyed the pool in the heat! I could write a book about our amazing stay and would recommend visiting Bayit Elohim a million times over. Blocking out our days today with Maggie for our upcoming trips this year.

Maggie's place is warm and loving. I felt it immediately upon entering.
On arrival the apartment we booked was still locked. It was one bitterly hot day, no air con, no fans. We had to ask the owner for fans because it was unbearably hot inside the apartment. We only got 1 big fan and one small car fan. We had to take turns with the fans because the tiny fan didn't even make a dent in a poo. We were well aware of the fact that it was a self-catering unit, but basically the principle of an apartment being rented out to people at R900 per night, one would hope that there would at least be hand soap and toilet spray. Nothing! We told the owner when she showed us we could grill and cook etc. that we are not going to use the facilities at all because we are going to be out all night. We didn't make anything dirty, maybe just face towel and shower. We made our own beds and left everything as we found it. I understand R250 extra for cleaning, but it was outrageous! The apartment is not even so big that it will cost you R250 to clean it, there were no dishes, dirt or barbecue mess. She didn't even bother to come and see if everything was okay, just immediately demanded her R250 for cleaning. We are truly bitterly disappointed. It wasn't worth the price or the booking.

We were warmly and kindly welcomed, owners came often to ask if we needed anything and suggested places for us to visit. The place itself is very neat, comfortable and safe.

The place is connected to the owners' house, therefore you feel like you are watched. Saturday evening around 21:00 we were asked to keep quiet because they are trying to sleep. We wanted to leave, but owners convinced us to stay. Swimming pool and braai area is right by the owners' front door - very uncomfortable and weird to walk over there again and again to get to the pool or to get to the braai. If you are just looking for somewhere to sleep, this is ideal, but if you want to have friends over and have fun, it's not a good place.
My teenage daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed it and my girls will definitely want to book there again, thank you for the excellent service.

Maggie was very pleasant. The place was in great condition. Only the hot water was quite lukewarm. Otherwise, I would still recommend people who just want to get away for a short time.
We really enjoyed the stay, unfortunately only stayed one night, but would really like to stay longer. Didn't even have a chance to light a fire. There are braai facilities and even wood to start with and a lovely swimming pool to cool off in. The owners are so incredibly hospitable and came to meet us with coffee, tea, milk and sugar and the most delicious muffins and we just want to say thank you very much for the "blessings" we received. We recommend Bayit Elohim anytime.
Lovely cottage to stay in. Host is very friendly and informed us that we do not have to check out 10:00 am on the Sunday. This was definitely a plus, as we could still explore further and still come back to relax before we hit the road.
Me and my parents and my daughter and husband enjoyed our stay. The reception was very good and the goodbye was very good from my little girl and we cannot say enough. I wouldn't mind going again. Bayit Elohim is a perfect place to stay when you're down in Hermanus because it's very central to the shops, the beaches and the wine route. The accommodation was very clean and tidy and we also felt very welcome so we really enjoyed our stay.
The house is so neat, comfortable and full equipped with everything necessary. The house offers more than expected. The decor of the house is so modern and I absolutely adored the house overall. Little things such as bed lights on the side of the bed is so appreciated (In most cases they do not work but in this home they did). You have a delightful back area which consists of your grill and also has seating which is so relaxing especially with the area being so nice and quiet. The atmosphere was so welcoming especially from the home owners who are so friendly. I highly recommend Bayit Elohim to anyone!
