Neat, very affordable, friendly reception.
Value for money, 7km radius of major schools, university, hospitals and shopping centres. Met our needs during a sports tour.
Alkira offers neat accommodation at a good rate. There was an influx of people in the street right through the evening which was quite noisy. I was concerned about the safety of my vehicle which was parked close to the gate. Thea explained to me that it was safe, was still not completely reassured.

Beds very comfortable and equipped with everything needed. Would only suggest that there might be a hook or two in the bathroom where you can hang your towels! And maybe a small table to put toiletries on.

Accommodation was comfortable, very neat and spacious. The mid-December air conditioning was an absolute nightmare. The room was spacious with everything needed to stay for 4 nights. The 4 sleeper with aircon was lovely! Very spacious room with lovely beds. The dining table was nice for dinner. The facilities are sufficient, coffee, tea and sugar scarce. Don't know if it's always like this, but there are a lot of pedestrians walking by and making noise in the street. The accommodation across the street was very busy until very late. Maybe just function? Very friendly hostess. Will stay there again.

The sugar was mixed with salt, probably by the last occupant, and so checking before the next occupant comes in would be advised. Also there was no shower cap.

Must arrive we were welcomed by Thea, she booked us contacted via WhatsApp and already welcomed us. She asked us day of arrival what time we would be there and communication was great. The unit was brilliant with everything needed and very clean and tidy. Just around the corner from her place was a center with everything needed. Thank you Thea you will see us again for sure!

Thea was very friendly and helpful and immediately made us feel at home. She went out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Although I only booked one room, Thea offered me the other open room for free after she found out my mother and I had to share the room. Many guesthouses only offer certain DStv channels but Alkira's full DStv package was a pleasant surprise and we were able to enjoy everything from movies to sports. WiFi is a necessity these days and I was able to answer my email and get work done on my laptop unimpeded. I will definitely use Alkira again should I visit Bloemfontein in the future.
We were 4 families of which 3 had small kiddies. There was plenty of space. Could have a nice time, braai and watch TV. Can recommend the place with confidence. Will definitely stay there again. Thea is an excellent hostess.
