37 guests' feedbackIt was a lovely place on a farm not too far from the main road. We had the cottage with 2 bedrooms but only made use of the one bedroom. The cottage was comfortable with hot water, a good bed, nice duvet and pillows, and a fireplace (we didn't need it as it was quite warm). The kitchen was equipped with all the basics, and there was nothing we needed. The host warned us about the road, but it wasn't too bad at all and easily negotiable even at night. The cottage did not have a view of the mountains but looked out onto a nice garden. We thought it might be noisy as when you come in the main gate, there is a lot of machinery being worked on. However, this was not the case, and it was peaceful the whole time. Lovely birdlife around in the beautiful garden. There are 2 dogs, and they are very sweet.
We enjoyed the stay. It is just a bit far from the main road. It is safe and everything one needs.

You do not have a view of the pond and mountains, but you can move around in the massive, large and beautiful garden where you do have a view of the pond and mountains. Nice road for walking and cycling.
Rosemary went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Both Rosemary and John were very accommodating and understanding as our plans seemed to change daily. Would definitely stay here again and use it as a base to explore the area in the near future.

We had everything we needed.
We drove from Castleburn in the Underberg to Bell Park and visited all kinds of places on the way - Piggly Wiggly (very nice shops) and Spiral Blue. We used Bell Park Self-catering as a layover on the way home in Pretoria. We wanted to visit Falcon Crest, but unfortunately it was closed. The world is very beautiful, but the roads are difficult to drive because of potholes. Rosemary and John at Bell Park were very friendly and we were upgraded from the Blue room to the En-Suite. The bed was very comfortable, and the small fridge and tea making facilities were very welcome.
We were spoilt with a suprise cake for our wedding anniversary!. Our children loved the dogs.
What an amazing getaway away from the noise and busyness of everyday life. Rose is a fantastic hostess and has a fountain of knowledge about things to do in the area.
Would definitely visit again.

The hostess, Rose, has a lot of knowledge about the various attractions and activities in the area. The cottage where we stayed is very well equipped, neat and clean. The ideal place for a short self-catering break.
Rosemary and Heidi are such gracious hostesses. They are so warm and inviting, make you feel at home and are full of interesting information so that you know exactly where to go to and what to do in the Valley. The cottage has all the mod cons, they have thought of everything! My furbaby came along and he was made to feel most welcome too. And we just fell in love with Coconut and Milo. Thank you Rosemary for an extremely pleasant stay. Highly recommended.
My wife and I and 2 of her good friends stayed in the cottage over the Easter weekend. For us it was the perfect accommodation with so much birdlife and stunning scenery. Rose is the perfect host and very knowledgeable about the Central Berg area. The cottage was spotless and comfortable. Everything we needed was available and much more. The garden is immaculate and it's ever so peaceful to just wander around in. We can't wait to go back again.

Each unit at Bell Park is individually placed and well appointed. The owners are very helpful with requests and help. Location provides access for the entire Champagne Castle area in the Drakensberg. 26 km from Winterton as nearest town.
Rose is not only the epitome of friendliness, but goes out of her way to assist her guests with suggestions for destinations for the day; where to go and what to do. Whatever she can do to improve her guest's stay, she will do.

Beautiful yard with tall trees and a garden with corners in which children can create their own world. The apartment is spacious with everything we needed and more. Very clean and tidy. Rose is hospitable and friendly and immediately made us feel at home.
The GPS in Bergville took us the wrong way. Dirt road with thousands of potholes. We ended up getting lost before we got there. Otherwise wonderfully peaceful and quiet.
The host could not have been more charming and the staff were just as nice.
We absolutely loved our stay at Bell Park B&B and Self-Catering. Rose-Mary is an excellent host who provided lots of details of activities in the area and ensured that our rooms were sparkling clean. The garden is beautiful, full of wonderful birds, the staff are friendly and the self-catering cottage and flat has all you need for your own cooking. Bell Park is close to Monk’s Cowl where we went every day for hiking, it’s also close to the Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey Centre, Waffle Hut and Sally se Winkel (museum) that we enjoyed too. We will be sure to visit Bell Park again to use as our base in the beautiful Berg. I highly recommend that you book to stay here, you won’t regret it!
Don't judge a book by its cover. At first I was sceptical then we were pleasantly supersised by the wonderful reception and room. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Nice and safe, went for amazing walks on the grounds.
The clean mountain air on this farm mixed with the fantastic attention from the hostess make this the ideal getaway to clear one's head after the city buzz. The owner is a perfect host and offers an amazing breakfast. This was a wonderful breakaway. I will definitely go back.
Very friendly welcome at the very beautiful and still working farm place. The garden is a paradise. The rooms were clean and all was present to have a perfect stay. The place is situated on a very good spot. You feel totally in nature but not too far away are two golf clubs, we loved the more simple monks cow the most, a very nice bakery, do not pass by there without a coffee and something sweet, a place with a marvellous bird show, many hiking trails. There is a small supermarket near to the estate golf club. When you are catering yourself we advise you to buy things in a bigger town. We did it in Howick where you can get everything. We recommend this place very strongly.
After a long journey from Pretoria we arrived at our destination. The farm atmosphere was great and we were well rested the following morning. Thank you to Rose-Mary for your kind welcome. The unit was well equipped with the most beautiful antique furniture and everything we needed. The farm was breathtaking. Will definitely stay there again.
We were greeted with a warm welcome. Our overnight was in well-furnished, old-style quarters with ample room. Although we stayed only for one night, this would be a great option to stay for a longer period and check out the Champaign Valley. You can really unpack and settle in.
Fully equipped home. Heaters and electric and hot blankets for the cold winter nights. We will definitely try again if we are in the area. Recommended.

With the drive to the destination we were initially slightly sceptical. What a wonderful surprise. It was quiet, neat, comfortable, cosy. It was a pity that we did not plan to stay longer. We were very kindly received and any inquiry we had was openly received and helped. The area is beautiful and there was so much to do in the area. What a fantastic 2 days!
