The cabin is fully equipped and can sleep 6 guests in 3 bedrooms of which 1 has a double bed and 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds. There are 2 en-suite bathrooms, one fitted with a bath the other with a shower. The open-plan living area features a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area featuring a TV with DStv.
Other facilities include air-conditioning, secure undercover parking, a braai area, and a jungle gym and sandpit. Children of all ages are welcome but please remember the guest house is not fenced and wild animals traverse the surrounding area. On-site we offer activities such as guided forest or bush walks and game or night drives.
From the deck overlooking the river, you can relax and admire your surroundings or scan the bush in search of the endangered and elusive Pels fishing owl or other resident fauna surrounding the guest house. Hippo, crocodile, bushbabies, chacma baboon, waterbuck, giraffe, kudu, impala, warthog and spotted hyena have all been seen from the deck with signs of other more elusive creatures leopard, Pels fishing owl and wood owl ever-present.

We had a great time relaxing. The place is very neat, and the owners are very friendly.
Room was very small. Only one pillow per person is provided. The duvet provided was far too small for the bed and for two people. The coffee, sugar etc. what was provided was very old. We were without power for a long time and no candles or emergency light or explanation was provided.

The accommodation is neat and clean. The nature is beautiful and the tranquility was food for my soul. The sign for the turn off is unclear from Hoedspruit's side and we missed it, but luckily we drove safely to the cabin after a drop pin was sent to us. Will definitely visit again.
We love the quiet and privacy. The facility is very comfortable and tidy. We have extra appreciation for the recycling facility.

Very nice place. Everything clean and tidy with all amenities. The road to the cabin is not in good condition but passable. Low ground clearance vehicles will struggle. The double bed in one of the rooms is very uncomfortable and needs attention. Would recommend the cabin for its location and cleanliness. Very peaceful and convenient.
The family and I enjoyed our time at Blyde River cabin. It was both peaceful and interesting because of the wildlife. We enjoyed walking in the woods that surrounds the cabin. The cabin had all amenities including cable TV (we never turned on the TV). I would recommend the cabin to anyone and plan to return for a longer period of time.
The setup is excellent! The service delivery five star plus. The rooms, linen, bathrooms, everything of superior quality. The deck next to the riverbed makes this an A+ place to stay.

Suggest they put a small table in the kitchen where you can eat when it rains. Lighting also poor if you want to barbecue outside and it is already dark.
We had a fabulous time, the romantic picnic was superb! The view from the deck was beautiful and it was so peaceful! Gay and Willem were very attentive and had many personal touches to our stay! Will definitely visit again! Highly recommended!
Great place, well equipped, very clean, Gay is super professional, everything was explained in full. Can recommend this to anyone in the area, one of the best, if not the best, at a fraction of the price, and twice the hospitality, 10/10.

What a quaint place! So well appointed, spacious deck you can spend days there gazing at nature. Perfect location and absolute privacy. Highly recommendedt to anyone who needs a weekend in nature. The gravel road isn't bad we found it quite navigable with our Corolla.
Beautiful location on the Blyde River. Gay and Willem are incredible hosts and will really walk the extra mile for you. Everything was 100%. The chalet has everything and more you will need. Lovely relaxing weekend. We will definitely be back.
My wife and I have stayed at many places, but not one as well equipped as this. The gravel road to the accommodation isn't that great, but it doesn't distract from the peace and unbelievably friendly service this place offers. Definitely 5 plus stars.
The accommodation was fully equipped, neat and beautiful. Sitting outside on the patio under all the trees with a view of the river was a privilege! We would recommend this little gem any day.
Great place if you want seclusion and a bushveld experience. However, beware of the gravel road. It is 12 km long and terrible in places. I would recommend a 4x4 to get there.
The place is very well equipped - surely one of the best self-catering places ever! There is a large fridge! We tour the whole country and I can honestly say that this is definitely the best equipped by far. The owners are friendly and very helpful. Nice air conditioning in rooms. Very nice environment. If you like the forest this is the place!
The guest house is very neatly and tastefully furnished. All the necessary equipment is there. It is kept neat and clean and is serviced every day. Very pleasant hostess. Would recommend to anyone. The access road for the last 4 km to the house is not suitable for a sedan.
With the water gently lapping in the background, the noise of the baboons and a diver moving peacefully just below deck, you can truly relax. The friendliness and dedication of the owners make the time there unforgettable.
The road there was very bad, almost impossible to drive with an ordinary car!
It was very nice and very peaceful. Here you can become whole again, it's as if time stands still. The air conditioners in the bedrooms help tremendously when it's so hot, and a fan in the living room would help a lot because it gets nice and warm there. Very well equipped. You don't lack anything and the extras are very special. The treat on our wedding anniversary was special, thank you!
