"Absolutely amazing!"

Absolutely loved the location, don't think you could get closer to the beach if you tried! Restaurants within walking distance and the famous Wolfgat restaurant, right next door! Loved, loved loved our stay with all the important creature comforts!

"Big disappointment."

Upon our arrival, the unit was filled with an unbearable smell of smoke, the sink was dirty and a lot of debris was blocking the outlet. The shower had chunks of old soap on the floor. The sink in the kitchen definitely needs attention. We felt unsafe because of the begging mentality of the locals. When you barbecue or cook, we were swarmed with beggars for food. If you walk on the beach, there are beggars. In the OR it was just as bad. It was a huge disappointment. We couldn't leave our door open because the local fishmongers don't hesitate to pounce on you with lobster for sale.

It was very very nice. The view was very beautiful, the cottage is well furnished, and we enjoyed it very much.

"Bliss with the most beautiful sea view."

We had a wonderful stay on the edge of the sea. The unit is very well equipped (my husband would only appreciate a tripod).

"Beautiful place!"

The place is nice - but the agency you work with was not a pleasant experience. I am still waiting for my 'breakage fee' deposit to be refunded and it is already 7 days after I stayed there. The place itself is beautiful, but you have to realize that there is a passage of lobster sellers that can become an annoyance. The view is breathtaking and glad it was delicious. Tip: Make sure you visit the agency's website so you can know what extra to bring with you.

"Soul refreshing."

It was fantastic. Best view. Fantastic location. From the outside, you can still see the old-fashioned fisherman's cottage. Inside, the unit is spacious, light and modern. Crisp bedding. Lovely kitchen with absolutely everything a couple needs for a self catering break. Best for last - the waves. We slept with the top door open every night so we could hear the waves all night. Definitely our favorite and can't wait to go again.

My car had no safety and had to stand in the sun all weekend without any safety gates, people walk through your plot, you can't leave anything outside while you barbecue, because any person has access to your things that are outside.

"Peaceful beach getaway."

A peaceful getaway with the perfect view. We truly enjoyed every minute of this tranquil fishing village. Bo Bakkies view was incredible!

"Disappointing stay."

The cottage has a lovely view of the sea, but our stay was marred by the theft of my husband's phone right from the stoep within 30 minutes of us arriving! We would have appreciated being advised in advance that crime is rampant in the area so we would be more vigilant. Also, I was very disappointed when I learnt that the rental agent who checked us in had subsequently been made aware of the theft, but lacked the common courtesy to check in on us to see if we required any assistance. Also, the cottage has no fencing around the perimeter so members of the public simply walk through the cottage grounds. We were also not provided WiFi login details upon arrival. There was no shower gel or soap provided in the shower. The linen on the bed was stained and appeared unclean. There is an ant infestation in the kitchen which can be easily remedied by the rental agent. Generally a disappointing stay, and I would not recommend the cottage to others. There are more secure options available in Paternoster.
