Very nice place for a group. Hanging out at large chalet was excellent! Children could also have fun playing and keeping themselves busy. Had a good time at the pond and caught fish.
Everything was neat and tidy upon our arrival. And it remained so throughout. The fireplace was a big bonus in the cold Eastern Free State. Excellent view and the tranquility was just what we were looking for. Definitely not my last visit to Boulders Lodge.
Very neat unit that is very well equipped for the cold. A large fireplace inside provides delicious heat. The rooms are equipped with heaters and electric blankets. We had a great time!

Nadine went to great lengths to make us feel welcome and at home! Was a lovely break, but the rain limited us a bit with two small children. The setting is so beautiful - will want to go back when the sun is shining!

The house is wonderful and decorated nicely. The view is awesome! It worked out perfectly for us (4 adults and 2 small children). It's close to Clarens. Only recommendation would be to maybe expand the basic available supplies with pepper and salt.

The accommodation was very basic and the unit was not properly serviced.
The environment is very beautiful and peaceful, the place to stay was also very cutely furnished and very beautiful, but I was disappointed in the people in the area. Didn't feel welcome in the area at all. People could really make more of an effort to make you feel welcome and maybe tell you more about the area so you know where to go and places to visit.
Neat, well located, friendly people, but in cold weather the evenings are long without a TV or radio.
The view is very beautiful, the house is tidy inside and had everything we needed. The fireplace and living room were our hangout until late every night. Really a nice experience and getaway!

The owners, Mike and his wife, are very friendly and helpful. Boulders Lodge is a real gem. So glad we discovered this place. Will definitely go again.
Initially we thought it was far from Clarens, but we enjoyed it so much. Only 15 - 20 minutes from town and the farm was a wonderful experience. Friendly hosts. Accommodation all good, everything you need.

Nadine really accommodated us. Our plans were chopped and changed quite a few times, as things go with a fairly large group, and she was always willing to help us in spite of the fact that we did go back and forth quite a bit. Boulders Lodge is ideal for a group that doesn't only consist of couples and it's also nice because there are separate little houses that are all fully equipped. Therefore, there are enough bathrooms and mirrors.The facilities were excellent and the landscape was beautiful. Couldn't ask for better. Will definitely stay there again.
Accommodation was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary utensils and equipment. Indoor fireplace and heaters provided and the beds were comfortable. Safe parking. Plenty of packing, but no hanging space. Scenery was spectacular, especially through the mountains to Clarens.
