We had such a nice stay in the cabin. We immediately felt at home from the moment we walked in there. The owner followed up the few days via WhatsApp to make sure we were still ok and had everything we needed. Thank you very much. We couldn't ask for better. We will definitely see you again.

It is a wonderful place with everything one needs. The bed is very comfortable, the linen is luxurious, the towels are of good quality, the shower is spacious and hot and the kitchen is well equipped. The apartment was beautifully clean. Definitely a good accommodation option in Kaapsehoop with a very friendly host.
Second visit, and still just as fantastic as the first visit in 2019. If the Noise Makerjanfrederik flies into the living room and starts chatting, then one can only know that one is staying in an enchanting place.
I stayed in the cabin, it's very quaint and well-equipped. It's situated in the most gorgeous tree-lined road. My only complaint is that the couch has seen better days. The host was communicative and helpful. Two things to note: there is a TV in the unit (not a smart one) and a DSTV decoder. Bring your own card thingy if you want to watch TV. It's pet-friendly, but pets aren't allowed on the beds or furniture. Also, there is no gate between the cabin and the cottage adjacent to it, so I had to keep an eye on my dog when he was outside.
The cottage is perfectly located. Can walk everywhere. The best town ever. People are so friendly. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Had a really nice stay. Will definitely go again. Thanks Etienne for everything.
Cottage was cozy and cute, everything was nicely laid out, even though it might be raining, cold or hot. Love the additional door to master bedroom. Owner is very friendly and helpful.

Very neat, spacious and comfortable house to visit. Braai facilities are also good.
Confusion with power times. Possible times of loadshedding not passed on. Power and water go off together. Washing is unpleasant when you are forced to bathe and there is no power.
Calm and quiet. Just what one needs.
What a wonderful little place in Kaapsehoop! Etienne is by far the most attentive host we have ever had without being in your space the entire time. He communicates regularly and with relevant info about 10/10! Cabin & Cottage is perfectly located and is out of the way of the day visitors, but close enough to everything that you can walk there.
Everything was great, the only issue faced was the lack of water when the electricity went out.
Etienne was a great host. We are already planning our next trip back to Cabin & Cottage.
The bath is a bit high for someone with mobility problems but otherwise the cottage was perfect. Would stay there again anytime.

We really enjoyed the stay, it was clean and tidy. The unit is shared with a cottage and is therefore not private.

We like that our vehicle could be in our own yard. The stoep is a nice, cool place. The cabin can get quite hot during the day and cold (at night). Well equipped, just a pity no aircon or WiFi.
Etienne was very prompt at replying to messages. Kaapsehoop is a lovely gateway to the whole area but is also a great destination on its own. I'll highly recommend this cabin. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Cabin & Cottage Kaapsehoop is well located, very neat and cozy. They think about the little things that count like electric blankets, chocolates on your bedside table or the gas heaters in the rooms. Etienne's communication was off the books.
The cabin was well equipped, neat and clean and has a well thought-out layout. The little extras like rusks, chocolates, board games, DVDs and books immediately made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the quiet and fresh air of the beautiful little town.
Everything was great. We even got wood and charcoal delivered. Will definitely recommend.

It was really a nice visit. The house (Cabin) is really neat with all the necessary amenities. Only the TV didn't work so well, but luckily we didn't need it. The rest was perfect!

Recommendation is to put DStv in, no entertainment on Sunday night, and definitely air conditioning even if it's only in the rooms, too hot, couldn't sleep. The cabin was very well equipped and laid out, which makes it very pleasant to stay there. Almost like your own home away from home. We would definitely like to stay there again and really enjoyed our visit to Kaapsehoop.
Bedding was good quality and clean. The DVD selection was a very special 'touch'. As well as the delicious rusk! The communication from the owners was also excellent! We felt special and pampered!
Very neat, cute and clean. Also very friendly and helpful owners. Unfortunately, the unit is located directly opposite a church. The loud music starts at 08:00 on Sunday morning and the whole affair continues until 11:00. It was really unpleasant and completely disturbed the tranquility. Very sorry to say, but the unit really should not be rented out if potential guests are not informed in advance that there will be a lot of noise early on the Sunday morning. Bathroom could perhaps do with a shower.

Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful welcome with delicious biscuits. Beautiful flower on bedside table and chocolate. There was even milk in the fridge as well as firewood to grill meat. Very nice place for a weekend getaway. Everything was as advertised and the owner is in constant contact to make sure everything is ok. There is everything you need to stay warm on a cold weekend.

We were kept informed throughout our stay. GPS coordinates were sent and after our arrival they wanted to check again if everything was OK. Beautiful, clean facilities. We only stayed one night, but it's an ideal getaway for a weekend. Away from the city noise. Detail such as milk, coffee, sugar and biscuits with beautiful kitchen. Picturesque rooms and plenty of warm things for the cold.
We really enjoyed the three nights, the cabin was clean and tidy in a quiet and peaceful environment. There were enough heaters, electric blanket and a fireplace to keep us cozy. Everything we needed was there to be self sufficient. We also felt very safe and the local people were friendly and helpful, with the beautiful aloes in bloom it was lovely to explore the routes with our cameras.
It is rare that one's expectations are exceeded when booking a new place. Everything was above expectation. The place is nice and clean with comfortable beds, bedding, living room and fully equipped kitchen. It has a very cute stoepie where you can hang out. It is so conveniently located and peaceful. Even the smaller "touches" like home-baked biscuits and welcome chocolates are all there. I will definitely go back there again.
