The Drakensberg Mountains form an impressive backdrop to the town that is renowned for its abundant growth of just about everything subtropical such as avocados, nuts, citrus fruits, mangoes, bananas, litchis, coffee, tea and cotton.
Tzaneen also serves as a good place from which to explore the rest of the region with its position just below the Magoebaskloof. The special thing about Tzaneen is the constant change in scenery, lush vegetation, plantations, mountains and one of the biggest baobab trees in the world.
The quaint little Tzaneen Museum is definitely worth a visit on a day when you’re not out exploring the various nature reserves or the Tzaneen Dam. The dam is also a nature reserve for its collection of ethnological artefacts like pottery, bead work, weapons and the largest collection of pole carvings in the country.

It's not near or in Heanertsburg's direction at all, so the link is very confusing if you're looking for accommodation near Heanertsburg. It's advertised as b&b, but you don't get breakfast if you don't click on it, so that's also very confusing.
Our stay was very pleasant. The room was clean and we recieved bottled water, chocolate and a rusk everyday.

I unexpectedly had to spend the night in Tzaneen and Christie's was able to help me with accommodation immediately.
The first problem is that you have to knock the door almost out of the frame to get it to close. The second problem was the cute and friendly white and light brown Jack Russell puppy, who started talking every now and then, barking continuously which often disturbed my sleep. At one point he even performed the moon howl so you just fall asleep then he wakes you up. I had a really bad night's sleep the night before I had to drive 425 km back to Johannesburg. It's nice that owners have dogs, I understand why, but they shouldn't disturb one's night's rest.
We were very kindly received, room clean and fresh. Quiet and safe environment. Breakfast was delicious! Customer service excellent. Will definitely stay there again overnight.
I stay in many places right across the country for work and Christie's is one of the best in terms of value for money. The only negative I can mention is that there is too little good coffee available, especially during breakfast. I don't want to drink sachet coffee.

I stayed at three places during my visit to the area. If they weren't fully booked all three of my nights would have been here for sure. Definitely the cleanest and very private.

Comfortable bed, super clean bedding and large bathroom add to comfortable accommodation. Extras such as two-point plugs, desk, study lamp and milk in fridge make life easier. Definitely recommended.
The shower was overflowing, we couldn't shower together with my husband. Busy street not safe going in/coming out.
I've stayed at Christie's twice now and it was really great. The room was spacious and the bathroom is unbelievable. I loved the shower. I was so glad about the mini fridge and microwave in the room, made my life very easy. The people at Christie's Inn are very friendly and helpful. I can recommend this place for sure! I needed a place to overnight while my husband was in hospital. Christie's Inn was ideal for this purpose. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The people at Christie's are very friendly - the lady even told me where all the "locals" go for walks in the afternoons, where to get takeaways etc. In a strange town this is much appreciated. The room was neat and clean. I felt safe and had a good night's rest. The only thing I regret is that I left my swimwear at home because that pool looked amazing in the muggy Tzaneen.
Tzaneen is a very lovely town, the guesthouse complements it perfectly.
The room was very pleasant and so was the breakfast. Unfortunately I could not get any reception of any DStv channel as advertised. The smokers in the other rooms smoke was also VERY unpleasant.

Safe, clean, professional. There is an air conditioner and a TV (with the basic minimal DStv package). Beds are good, everything is clean and well maintained. Bathroom is old but perfectly adequate. Breakfast is very very good. Owner makes a lot of effort and it shows. Can recommend it with ease. You also park right in front of your sliding door.

Security and facility very good. However it was too noisy. A lot of couriers stayed over and talked loudly until the early hours of the morning. Fortunately they did not play music as well.
