Comfortable sleepover en route on holiday. Friendly and helpful service from hostess.
Shower head was chalked up and very small shower not nice. Aircon did not work on heater and there were no extra blankets and no load shedding facilities and no water during load shedding or even a gas stove or plate.
Room was very neat and beautiful. Was kindly received.
The bedroom is neatly furnished but the door of the WC-SHOWER does not close properly. There is also a small kitchen that can be used. Breakfast, not included in the price, is served in the beautifully furnished space of the Oude Scholen.

The hostes was that one person that made us feel special. The place was beautiful just like in the pictures they posted on the website and freshly painted with new bedding.
Nicely centrally located for easy exploring walks through the town.
It was neat, but the lady wasn't expecting us. Clearly cleaned a few days before our arrival.
De Oude Scholen is clean. Everything you need for a night's stay. There is just no pressure in the shower. Don't know if it was just the morning's problem.
Only problem we had was with the shower water, it was cold and unpleasant, please can you fix it?
Needs a bit of renovation.
Aircon and TV do not work in Room no. 1 not. We ask to be moved. We get room no. 3, aircon and TV work, TV remote doesn't work, they put new batteries in, still doesn't work. One bedside lamp's bulb blown, we ask for a new bulb. Mosquito net over bed fell from the ceiling when we wanted to use it in the evening. Swimming pool water not clean, it was milky with something like an oil layer floating here and there on the water. Also dust and leaves in the water, but we believe it was due to the wind that blew strongly.
We felt very welcome and at home. The room was very neat and clean. The dinner was delicious.
Extremely friendly reception, delicious meals, highly recommended. The warmth of the hosts is much appreciated - it makes one feel at home immediately. The atmosphere of the old school building is something special. Parking is safe. Everything was great beyond expectations. Will stay there again if the opportunity presents itself. Highly recommended.
It was very cold. There was a wall heater in the room, but nowhere to plug it in. The air conditioner's warm setting made no noticeable difference in temperature. There was an electric blanket on the bed, but I (like many other people) prefer not to use it.
Had a great stay. Will go back. Will just make a plan with the shower head. Otherwise great accommodation.

We stayed overnight on our way to Cape on holiday and had a wonderful rest at De Oude Scholen after a long journey. Marinda was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay at De Oude Scholen again and would recommend them to any travellers.

We enjoyed the stay, but when we arrived the room that we booked were given to someone else and there was another room too of which the booking was wrong. Luckily they solved the problem for us. So we enjoyed the stay and I would recommend it to people en route to Cape Town looking for a place to rest.
The rooms are neat and clean and are quite well furnished. The breakfast is very nice. This is the ideal place to sleep over while traveling to other destinations.
Very neat, clean and friendly guest house. The staff received us very well and enjoyed a wonderful 4-course meal during dinner. It was definitely worth the money. The pool provided a welcome relief after a long drive. I would love to stay there again in the future. Thank you very much.
We had a lovely stay at this guesthouse.
We were on motorbikes and arranged for salad that night as it was National Barbecue Day. On arrival there was not only salad, but also beer, meat, 2 salads, wood and everything to enjoy the evening. The accommodation is clean and tidy and we have no complaints.
