I often travel between Johannesburg and PE and then sleep over in Graaff-Reinet. The Dorpshuis is at the top of my list of places to stay in town. Beautifully clean and tidy, with easy access arrangements and good facilities. Secure parking for the vehicle is an added plus!
Outstanding, with superb communication, very helpful friendly staff, and every little possible thing needed in the accommodation thought about and supplied.
Very friendly reception. The self-catering unit has everything you need. There is even fresh drinking water and good coffee (instant and plunger coffee). Soap in the bathroom and everything is clean. Secure parking on site which is kept closed. Very comfortable for overnight stay. Also a braai on the stoep if you wanted to braai your own meat and sit and relax. Many shops and restaurants in the area. Just make sure you go early enough before they close.

The Dorpshuis offers a welcome resting place after a long day on the road. The accommodation is excellent, particularly well equipped with everything one needs. Carina kept us well informed with the procedure to book in and a welcome bonus was the list of places to eat she provided. We were already able to book an evening meal for ourselves on the way. It helped a lot to make our stay in Graaff-Reinet a wonderful experience.
Beautiful and spacious overnight place. Very well equipped and standby power a bonus. Hostess equipped us with accommodation instructions, places to eat, load shedding schedule, restaurants, climate etc. A bonus indeed. Will definitely visit again.
The unit is beautiful, well equipped and comfortable. The hostess called beforehand to find out about our expected arrival time, and then sent clear information about access as well as restaurants and things to do in Graaff-Reinet.
On our return trip, we stayed there again on November 15, 2023. Upon our arrival, the air conditioning in our chosen unit was out of order and we were immediately upgraded to another unit (Karree). Once again a friendly reception by the staff, while the owner kept in constant contact with us. The unit was clean and ready. Staff were very helpful. I can recommend Die Dorpshuis. Will stay there again.

Large spacious bathroom, lovely, large shower that works. During load shedding, a pair of headlights that work so that one is not sitting in the dark. Owner Carina very helpful throughout.
