Restful. Very pretty. At Die Fonteine you can forget about everything that bothers you in life. Swimming pool with the most beautiful view. Sheep grazing. Most beautiful gardens with relaxation corners. Walking and jogging options in the area. Beer tasting within 1 km. It feels like the hostess is family to us after the visit.

Die Fonteine is located in a beautiful area just outside Oudtshoorn. We stayed in the self-catering unit, which was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained. The unit is relatively private with its own stoep from which one can take in the beautiful surrounds. Can highly recommend.
Peaceful place to stay overnight! The sun loungers outside by the pond were perfect for lying on and watching the stars in the evening. Definitely a must to sleep over here if you drive through Oudtshoorn.

After some days at the coast, we drove back in to stay a night at Die Fonteine. It was too short. Very friendly and beautiful place to stay.
Comfortable stay with everything you could need.
It was lovely to drive a few minutes out of town and stay amongst the mountains. The site is a loop court and you can feel all the love and see the hard work that goes into it. The rooms are well equipped. As a female solo traveler I can definitely recommend it to everyone.

The TV and kettle power plug did not work. Was able to move the boiler, but TV was completely out of order.
We could not use the bath as the plug has been removed - it is obviously only decorative! Unit was booked because of the bath.
The garden looks like a park, and we had a great time walking around and sitting on benches all over the place looking at little chickens and chickens. My husband had a great time cooling off in the bluest swimming pool. The guest house is truly a feast for the eyes.

The stay was lovely and we really enjoyed our quick stay. Things to note if you choose to stay here (4 sleeper): 1. There are a lot of insects (wasp nests, many more) we used room spray and still most of us got huge spider bites which we needed to treat. 2.) The cutlery/crockery was not completely clean and finding one to three dirty dishes is enough to make you feel uncomfortable. They do service your rooms so I'm sure if we complained it would have been addressed. We just washed everything we used and that was fine. Furthermore, really pretty decor and environment and it was also very private from other guests.

We stayed in their new glamping tent. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and our hosts were very welcoming and hospitable. The location was out of town and quiet.
A very comfortable and clean night's rest with everything you need for a night or two. We stayed in the Roses room. It has a small private veranda. Attention to the finer details, such as fresh flowers, fruit in the room, as well as a delicious dessert wine was not overlooked. Equipped with small fridge, TV, air conditioning. Large bathroom. Note that the bath plug is sometimes removed for water saving reasons and you can probably only ask if you really want to bathe, there is a large shower too. The breakfast that is served is incredibly delicious! Many choices of fresh breads, yogurt, porridge and a hot breakfast with bacon and eggs. Die Fonteine is very close to Buffelsdrift and the wedding venue, De Opstal, and about 10 minutes' drive outside Oudtshoorn.
We had a very nice stay. However, for my taste, there were too many detached objects that fill the room and cupboards, so that there is no space for own toiletries, etc. to unpack.
Our stay at the Fonteine was once again wonderful. Our room was well appointed, clean and had a beautiful view of the Schoemanshoek area. The exquisite breakfast, beautiful gardens and lovely cement pond to cool off in make this our favorite place to stay in the Oudtshoorn area. Anzue is a wonderful hostess who makes guests feel at home and at the same time respects their privacy. We will definitely stay here again, thank you Anzue and Hanlie!

I would definitely recommend the place. The rooms were well appointed and I was surprised by the finer detail. The electric blankets were definitely a bonus. Breakfast was delicious and the garden beautiful. Close to the Ostrich farm, Cango caves and Karusa wine farm. Will visit again for sure!
It was lovely to book into such a beautiful guest house. Quiet outside the town with a country atmosphere. It has a beautiful garden (despite winter in the karoo). Room 6 (Aloe) is modern and comfortable, and the breakfast with its great variety (and nice background music) was the ideal way to start each day. Anzue is the ideal hostess who made everything as convenient as possible and helped where she could. The guest house is ideally located halfway between Oudtshoorn and the Kango Caves with many attractions within a 15 km radius.
It was wonderful to stay at Die Fonteine. The gardens are beautiful and my favorite place is the veranda which gives a fantastic view of the mountains. It is peaceful and relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle. Anzue is a wonderful hostess who makes you feel at home. She also knows the area and was able to recommend nice places to eat. Although Die Fonteine is outside Oudtshoorn, there are quite a few restaurants nearby and it is also close to the Kango Caves which was a highlight. The breakfast was delicious and very filling and the hostess even baked a carrot cake that we could enjoy at tea time. Just one point of advice: If you really want to stay in a certain room, just confirm in advance. It was a privilege to be able to stay there. Had a great time and your baked goods are excellent.
Everything at this guest house was great! It was the most delightful place with beautiful gardens and a nice big "pond pool" in which we could cool off. Everything was sparkling clean, neat and comfortable in the room and bathroom. Comfortable porch to sit on and you could stretch your legs in the garden. We were warmly received and Anzue is the perfect hostess who immediately made us feel at home. We got more information about things to see and do and places to eat. We drove too early to eat breakfast and then got some nice muffins together for food on the road. We can definitely recommend Die Fonteine and wish we could spend even longer there.

One night's stay at Die Fonteine was one of pampering and comfort. Anzue knows how to make one feel at home and special. She pays attention to the finest detail, without making it look extravagant. There were even earplugs in the bathroom! With snow on the Swartberge, we slept wonderfully warm with electric blankets and air conditioning. Breakfast was a feast with plenty to choose from. Definitely worth a visit again, this time in the summer.

Die Fonteine is located in a beautiful area. Service was friendly and really top notch. If I had to complain I would recommend that Die Fonteine install a TV in the rooms. On a cold night with small children, entertainment can become difficult.
