What an incredibly lovely stay we had at Die Hartbeeshuisie! Willie was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable and at home, and Ansie was very friendly. The house was very clean and neat, and the kitchen is well equipped with everything one would need. The use of WiFi was also a bonus. We loved the braai area under the thatch, and of course, the absolute highlight was the best ever Jacuzzi! We will most definitely be back!
Maybe the owner just needs to look at the main toilet because it's leaking. There are 2 fridges, the big fridge doesn't really get cold. I might just change the patent of the Jacuzzi a bit, the steps are a bit wobbly and could be dangerous. The 2nd bedroom also has air conditioning, because it's incredibly hot at Marloth. Maybe a gas bottle there for the people, but that's just a suggestion. Other than that, no complaints, we had a great time and saw many animals.
The Hartbeeshuisie is just big enough not to work yourself to death to keep clean and easy to keep clean. All necessary kitchenware and bedding were sufficient and clean. We were warmly welcomed by Willie and we were shown around and where it was held. Provision was even made for a nice cup of coffee or tea after the long drive. The hot tub was a winner until late at night. Thank you very much Ansie, see you again.
It is our 2nd visit to the unit and it is very quiet and peaceful. Small, but just what you need. We will see the place again, for sure.
The only problem is the loadshedding.
The house is clean and everything you need is there. There are also many animals that visit the house and the Jacuzzi is a winner willem is also very helpful and makes a real effort to make you feel welcome, this was not my first time there and will not be my last definitely again.

We really enjoyed the animals and forest. The house is neat and clean and has everything you need! My three-year-old and I had a wonderful afternoon nap on the hammock under the trees and the jacuzzi was a great treat.
The house was spotless, there was nothing out of place. We were welcomed by Willie who quickly showed us everything upon our arrival. It's nice and private and definitely a place I will, without a doubt, book to again. Worth every cent.

Had a lovely stay at the Hartbeeshuisie. The place is well equipped and situated perfectly from the river to Marloth centre and a lot of the animals love coming to graze and eat right on your front doorstep. The Jaccuzi was also an absolute hit! I would recommend the place to anyone who wants peace, tranquility and stunning views (stars and animal life).

We really enjoyed the place. The Jacuzzi gave the children a lot of entertainment. Struggled to warm up with loadshedding stage 6, but got there. Lapa needs attention, but we didn't even visit him because the boma is neat. Internet was very nice to have, could still attend my meetings (if Eskom is down, the internet doesn't work). Children had fun playing in the Jacuzzi with the kudus standing around them. Pigs are a bit troublesome, but it's like that throughout Marloth. The cottage itself has everything we needed and is neat and clean. Thank you very much, we will come again.
The Hartbeeshuisie has everything you need to rest well and enjoy the forest. The silence and animals that come to visit in the morning and evening with the Jacuzzi is a winner. Ansie also checks in every now and then to hear if everything is still okay. Will definitely stay there again.

I feel we paid a bit too much per night. We saw quite a few other bigger places, with a lot more amenities for less per night. We did have a nice stay, since we were only 2 people.

The Jacuzzi was a big plus for the hot days and even lovely in the evenings, the fact that you can set the temperature helps a lot. The children frolicked in him almost all day. Of course, the animals that come to visit you are also a big highlight, some of them just eat out of your hand. It was lovely to sit by the fire and watch the animals.
The house has everything you need, well equipped and everything works 100%. The Jacuzzi is a big bonus, nice to cool off with animals around you. It is very private with a view of the forest. Lapa is nice if it might rain to still be able to grill. Also feel safe with the alarm in the house. Definitely recommend the house to keep in vacation.

There is just such a calm feeling when you drive through the gate. As my little daughter said: "Grandpa I can breathe, the air looks and smells so clean.". Consider retiring there.

Sitting in the jacuzzi and observing the animals was a highlight for us. The owners are friendly, accommodating and easy to reach and took immediate action when we encountered a problem with the water. The cottage is well equipped.

Found kudus and forest goats at Die Hartbeeshuisie that were so tame that they ate the feed from our hands, it was amazing.
The cottage was great. Great in the woods. Animals right at the door and you have everything you need. The house only gets very hot during the day and takes a long time to cool down, perhaps another air con for the evenings. Info was good given in advance. The round braai is fantastic and good for a lot of friends. The Jacuzzi makes everything better. Fantastic. Every evening a mongoose family of 25 visited. Will visit again.

Well located in Marloth Park next to parkland in wildly rich area of Marloth. House is comfortable for 4 people and with nice outside entertainment area and hot water Jacuzzi. Security on standard and connected to reaction engine. Very good value for what one pays. I visited Marloth for 20 years and the place is a jewel for the forest lover. Highly recommended. Air-con and fans were also very handy. Come back, definitely.

The place is simple and neat, what more do you need in the field? The Jacuzzi is lovely, the cottage has aircon and was very clean and beautiful. We also had privacy. I am always scared if I go to such places that the owners will invite themselves in and jump in the Jacuzzi with us after they let us listen to stories of their grandchildren for hours. But these owners were professional and kind and we had a lot of privacy with our friends. Will definitely go back.

We had such an amazing time at Die Hartbeeshuisie. Ansie was very helpful and made our stay perfect. The Jacuzzi makes your weekend as you can relax while having animals walk around you. Will definitely be back again as it was the best weekend we have had in a long time!
We have a wonderful holiday at the Hartbeeshuisie behind us. Everything was in good condition and we didn't lack for anything. The hot tub is a winner for kids and parents. It's nice to hang out around the fire while the children can play off their energy. The animals that visit every day also provide great entertainment.
The outside space is fantastic! Secure a summer destination. Will be back!

Hartebeeshuisie is a quaint idea. We enjoyed the outside shower, Jacuzzi and boma. The beds are lovely. The rooms weren't so clean. Empty water bottles in the kitchen. The house is very warm. There is only one aircon so the rest of the house was smouldering. There are ceiling fans, but only one in the main room. However that one stirred up enough wind. I feel that, for the amount we paid, we could've gotten something more convenient in terms of air conditioning.
The road to Hartbeeshuisie was very rocky which may present a problem for some travellers.
The Hartbeeshuisie is fully equipped, and meets all your needs. Very neat and clean. Beds sleep well and the Jacuzzi is a bonus. The warthogs drop by regularly, the kudus walk by every now and then, and how much safer can you feel if the blue wildebeest sleep at your entrance at night! Hartbeeshuisie is definitely one of the best equipped units we have ever stayed in. Everything is there. It is definitely a place close to the owner's heart. The location is ideal and very tranquil. All the animals that come and say hi and the Jacuzzi was a huge bonus! We enjoyed it and will definitely make use of them again.

Having a house in itself is good, but the cleaning could be better. Got shower hole full of hair. Also, the bed in the main bedroom was not made. The garden chairs were stored in the living room. The lapa has a poor surface and you have to be careful where you place your chair. The "grilling tools" were very dirty. We bought a new BBQ holder to grill. Furthermore, it was very nice to sit outside and see the animals coming to you. We had bought feed for the animals in the shop. Wildebeest, zebras, kudus, warthogs and impalas passed us. Very special!

What a great experience. On arrival on Friday, the kudus were soon there to say hello, and you can't offer them something to eat fast enough! On Saturday the lone blue wildebeest was there, and he is the guard dog of the little house, and was lying in the cool in front of the porch. Kudus and warthogs also came to visit us. The house aspect itself is just as comfortable, and when the power went out, the lights ran on batteries so we were never without lights for a moment. I can't wait to go back again. The Jacuzzi and the swing are just as nice: while you are sitting in the Jacuzzi the kudus come to see if there is something for them to chew on, so the most important thing is to pack the carrots and the apples for the animals, or from the feed to go shopping in the hardware store in Marloth itself. I would recommend this house to anyone, it's 5 star! We really had a very nice stay!
What an experience to witness the animals! The children nostalgically referred to the holidays on Grandpa's farm when the warthogs came near for feed. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely visit the Hartbeeshuisie again! Harbeeshuisie will definitely see us again soon for a longer period than just a long weekend.

Very relaxing that way with nature and the 'visitors'. Pleasant to eat breakfast or barbecue and the kudus, flat pigs, blue wildebeest etc. to get what hello is saying. House is spiffy and neat, while the hot tub is definitely a winner. The neighbors are a stone's throw away, but do not intrude on privacy. Definitely recommend.

Like last year, it is still a clean and nice place to stay. A few suggestions: air conditioning should be installed in the main living room. It's unbearably hot. Maybe insolation in roof. Water pressure for shower needs to be looked at.

Upon our arrival, we were surprised with zebras that came to the house to drink water. On Saturday and Sunday there were a lot of warthogs, one of which was a sow with 4 young. It was an experience for my 3 and 4 year old children. The place is very neat and has everything you need. The hot tub was a plus for the kids. The fact that there are shops that cater to the necessary needs makes it even more comfortable.

The Hartbeeshuisie is well maintained, equipped and everything you need is there - especially at the braai area and Jacuzzi. We really enjoyed the interaction with the animals (Zebras, Kudus and Warthogs). Even the Giraffes walked past 10 meters in front of the house.
