I really enjoyed the stay.
It's nice for one night's sleepover.
Not right, especially not with the bedding. When we asked for new clean bed linen because there were stains on the ones we had, it was contradicted by the fact that our bed was indeed cleanly covered. The towels also smelled sour.

Die Nessie offered us a very comfortable overnight stay. I think my hubby may have fallen asleep in the big bathtub — such a relaxing treat after a long drive. I really loved that we could sleep with fresh air drifting in through the door, which was well secured and protected us from all the little gogos that can normally squeeze in to 'bug' one. The bed was comfortable, and we had a very friendly reception.
It was lovely. Just recommend showering/bathing before the other guests as the geyser was very small and I couldn't shower for too long. But hospitality was great, the hostess was very kind and helpful.

A first-class B&B, the environment is quiet, the room is spacious, and what's even more satisfying is that there are two toilets! There is also WiFi with good reception. It is really worth the money; I particularly recommend the British breakfast, which is really cheap and good.

It took a while to get in. The fridge stopped cooling in the middle of the night, so in the morning I had sour milk when I was leaving. The sand just outside the door with the wind meant one had to keep the door closed all the time.

Yes, I had a nice stay. I would have liked a bigger freezer, as I chose Die Nessie when I saw the fridge. As a traveler, I usually have frozen items and not everything fit.
Ideally located and animal friendly. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, my unit's air conditioning was faulty and the roof fan was noisy. They put the TV high up on the wall cabinet, which means you can't see very well. Something bit me in 20+ places that night - don't know if it was mosquitoes, fleas or something else - but it took medication to heal.
No check-in information given. They were still cleaning the room on my arrival at 1:00 pm.

After more than 10 hours on the road, Die Nessie offered the luxury of a nice hot bath and comfortable bed. After a good night's rest I could hit the road again.
The place is neatly and conveniently laid out. The owner was friendly and helpful. Coffee, WiFi and DStv are pleasant additions that are a bonus for the price one pays. Only criticism: The place was pretty clean above, but needs a serious "deep clean". Floors and under the bed and in cupboards were very dirty.
When we arrived it was load shedding. There was no hot water. We had to hear after 2 calls that it was because load shedding, we have to wait for half an hour before we would have hot water. And after a 10 hour journey we just wanted to go to sleep. Just bring your own duvet because the bedding was hopelessly short.

This is really the best accommodation we had on the whole road trip from North West through the Eastern Cape to Cape Town and back. Everything is of the best quality and the service is great.
Owner not friendly at all. The beds are old and not comfortable at all. The room was not cleaned after 2 days as per agreement with the cleaner. The owner was not friendly at all, when we arrived she said she was sleeping and did not even come to welcome us.
When choosing a stopover from Joburg to Cape Town we wanted the least cost option. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for and Die Nessie wasn't up to the same standard as the (slightly) more expensive places we'd stayed in on the way up and in Jo'burg. If you simply want a comfortable bed at a low price, a little out of town, it's adequate but wasn't ideal for us as a family.

Tessie of Die Nessie went out of her way to accommodate our needs. We had to change our travel plans, each time at the last moment. Tessie even changed our room to accommodate our stay with our two small dogs. Die Nessie is well-fitted out, clean and exceptionally comfortable. The location is safe and close to the mall where we were able to purchase supplies. Tessie is an exceptional hostess. I would recommend the Nessie to anyone staying over in Beaufort West.

Giving poor excuse that the last occupants left late. It's unacceptable. We arrived at 14:30. The room was still not made up. The sheets felt like there is a fine sand on sheets. This was the first time I observed such a poor standard of accommodation in my life. I have traveled local and international, but as for this one, it failed me. If people are happy to stay in these places, I'm lost for words. I have to leave at first light. I feel like I flushed my R1000 on the drain.

We checked in on 20/07/2022 for a 4-night stay and our experience of the establishment itself was not a nice one at all. The reviews from past guests and the photos on your website of this establishment is absolutely deceiving. From our checking in, our rooms were never cleaned, our beds not once made up during our stay, the base of the bed was flat on the floor, the mattress on the bed was sagging our backs are sore as hell. The linen on the beds smelled of dust and you could see the linen hasn't been washed for days, not once was the towels changed in our rooms, the cutlery and cups were left dirty after we used it once, like I said housekeeping from the host was non existent. That full unit was dirty and everywhere smelled of dust, our stay was definitely not a pleasant one and we just slept cause we had no choice and paid money for our stay! I am highly disappointed and won't recommend this place to no one! Please don't deceive people with nice photos and good reviews.

It was a cute place. It was neat, clean and spacious. All bad points are that it is at a far point from the town. There is also no washing-up area at the kitchen nook. This made it difficult to reuse crockery. I ended up having to wash it in the bathroom sink.
Although we were only two people we got the five bed unit but for the same price. Very clean and tidy. Location is near the end of town but was not a problem.
The double bed unit (#3) was well equipped with a good quality double bed, small fridge, kettle and coffee/tea station, air conditioning, bathroom with bath and shower. A large bottle of fresh filtered water was also provided. We were grateful for the mosquito screen in front of the security gate and we could sleep safely with the sliding door open in the securely fenced yard. No breakfast is perfect, but it gave us the opportunity to eat dinner and breakfast in the town's many restaurants. We will definitely want to stay at Die Nessie again in the future!

Might just recommend that the backyard maybe get paved. Wind was blowing very hard and the sand in the backyard blew everything into the unit. It was sweltering and hot, so we couldn't close the door and turn on air conditioning. Furthermore, we have no complaints about the accommodation.

The Nessie is clean, safe and has the friendliest people. They have more than enough hot water and also cater for power outages. Kokkedoor Tessie's Nessie also offers the most delicious food for value for money.

This was perfect overnight accommodation for our trip.
We are just terribly creepy for a bed without a top sheet and a mattress cover. A bathroom with dusky brown towels also always looks suspicious. Choose light towels, then you know they are clean. With the Covid pandemic, hygiene is much more prominent than before. The guest house has a policy of no contact with the customers and works with messages and calls, which is very strange to us. We have traveled widely and stayed in many places during the Covid period and never encountered this strange policy. Disinfectant was also not in the room.

The aircon was a bonus with the 40 degrees outside. Parking convenient and close and no one stuck me in the parking lot. Sometimes a problem at other guesthouses.

Proprietor unable to make pre-arival contact because he had wrong number. Reception was non existant, the domestic staff wer not informed of our booking band rooms were not ready. Some rather basic maintenance is needed.

The reception was very warm. Very helpful and everything was very neat. Bed a bit hard after a long day trip and little meat on the legs. Certainly not Nessie's fault! The reference to 4 Sheep Restaurant was brilliant - good food.

Suitable for budget travellers who are not too concerned about location as the rooms are in the backyard of the property so you have to walk round the house. Inside the rooms is okay. No soap in bathroom but supplied on request. Has Wi-Fi and full DStv, which is a plus.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome. After a long day's travel, the air-conditioned room was a welcome relief. The fact that Die Nessie is located far away from the main street made for a great night's rest. Despite the severe drought in the area, water is managed very sensibly. I can highly recommend Die Nessie!
Host called us in the afternoon to find out where we are. I mentioned that we were only going to be there closer to 8 o'clock, then he said it was a bit late, wasn't it! There was no air conditioning which we expected with a temperature of 36 degrees. Just a fan. No water!!! 2-gallon water for kettle was there. Because we were there later, we could not bathe or shower. Power also went off when we used microwave. There were no tea bags either.

Well laid out. Had a good night's rest. The gate was only left open by person who drove very early in the morning, with our car feeling good. But otherwise definitely no problems. Tessie is helpful and immediately jumps to help if information is needed. It was worth the money.
The Nessie is everything I want in overnight accommodation. I received regular communication from the owner, it was very reasonably priced, the rooms were clean and tidy - I can highly recommend it without any hesitation. I would definitely stay there again.

The place has everything you need and I really like the decor. The hostess also makes a lot of effort to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Pikkie waited for us at the gate. We were welcomed with open arms. The unit was neat and clean, with more than enough warm blankets for the cold weather. I will definitely recommend Die Nessie, because it truly is value for money. The hostess was friendly, welcoming and made us feel at home.
