The unit was neat and clean and private, the mountain range can be viewed from every room. Photos cannot depict the scenery, it is truly beautiful. The hiking trails can be tackled with pleasure, caves and a river are part of the hiking trail. The host and hostess are pleasant and helpful. Security is good, they try to make it as safe as possible for the guests.
We really enjoyed staying here for the weekend. The owner is ready to help where he can when you ask. The place is really located in a very beautiful area with a very challenging hiking trail, which I would also recommend to anyone. The up and down drive was not so fun, because the dirt road is not peaceful. A small city car or even a family car will find the dirt road very difficult in certain parts, but the dirt road is worth driving for where the place is located.

Excellent venue, very attentive host, beautiful walks, and stunning views.
On arrival, we were greeted by our friendly hosts, who with a walk through the unit explained all that was needed to know about the unit which is totally off the grid. We had ample hot water, even though the geyser is solar-powered. There are a few hiking trails that we will be doing when we definitely go back there for a longer stay. Everything one needs to make your stay pleasant and comfortable is there. The host contacted me before my arrival with additional detailed directions, as well as giving a list of emergency numbers to contact if needed. Be advised that the gravel road is best suited for high vehicles such as SUVs or 4x4.
The beds are so comfy. The view spectacular. Amazing place for an off grid holiday. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend!
The house is perfect, clean and everything you need. The road is a bit difficult when it rains and you can only drive it with high ground clearance car.
Cute, cozy place. Better attention can be paid to small things that will ensure a better finish such as e.g. if it is for number of guests, that there are cups and glasses if everyone needs them equally. We like hot showers and it was lukewarm at hottest. Just won't work in the winter, one will freeze if more than one has to take a shower. Self-care also includes self-cleaning, there is no daily care such as dishes or cleaning of the barbecue or fireplace.

Very interesting hosts, living a very sustainable lifestyle, 100% off grid and self-sufficient. Beautiful walks and comfortable, clean accommodation.
The barbecue patio with large glass doors and windows makes it possible to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains in any weather. Very clean and tidy and well equipped with everything you need. After the abnormal amount of rain in December 2021, the 5.5 km dirt road was in places impassable for a normal vehicle. The owners make it pertinently clear on their own website that a 4x4 is necessary if it rains a lot. The advantage of the lot of rain was that we saw beautiful waterfalls on the hiking trail.
We were welcomed by beautiful scenery and a very friendly host. The drive to and from the guesthouse is extremely beautiful. It's not too far outside Clarens' main streets and restaurants, but just far enough to feel secluded from people. There is a few stunning scenic routes to hike, short or long. A plus is that the hosts' dogs guide you. They are so adorable. I would recommend this to anyone.
The big wow factor of Domaine is its location. It is breathtakingly beautiful right around the house. The hiking trails have mountains and valleys and streams and waterfalls and and and and. the house is very well furnished. Sleeping space for 6 people, enough kitchen equipment for any need and the veranda with built-in braai was where we spent most of the time inside. Everything was also clean and tidy. The owners, Huy and Betty were amazing. Very kind and humble, loving people.
Never before have I experienced this. An unbelievable, beautiful view, peace and silence all wrapped in a luxury cottage on a picturesque eco friendly farm. The freedom to explore the beauty of nature on many walking trails, with two wonderful dogs to accompany and guide you all the way. Our stay was a treat beyond words. I would suggest it anytime. Especially if you still have small children who you want to teach through field trips to appreciate nature over technology for a while.

If you want to get away from city noise it is ideal. A stove in the unit is all that is missing. Furthermore, facilities are sufficient for a nice long weekend. The town is about 12 km away.

Very nice place to completely get away from technology with no TV and the wind blowing around the cottage. The owner is very friendly and has their own vegetable garden and the natural swimming pool was a welcome surprise.
Domaine Sérénité was a magical surprise. The accommodation was tastefully furnished, very cozy and spotless on arrival, while the views from the cottage were second to none. We also highly recommend the hiking trial to the waterfall and cascades, which is both exciting and picturesque. It was also a treat to have the two resident dogs guide us every step of the way on the hike. Other highlights include swimming in the self-sustaining pool, magnificent sunsets and the friendly hosts, Betty and Huy.
This was our 3rd getaway to Huy and Betty's lovely place. This is already tradition. They are hospitable, the unit is clean and the hiking trails are accessible. We enjoy the tranquility and you couldn't ask for a better view. We definitely see them again.

Huy and Betty are very warm people who wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. The unit has solar power and is beautifully neat and clean. The guest house is on a farm 12 km outside Clarens, the scenery is beautiful and in the evening you can see Clarens' lights. There are hiking trails that lead to the beautiful mountain range. Will definitely visit there again.

Such a beautiful place to visit! We had a wonderful stay at Domaine Sérénité. It's close enough to Johannesburg for a quick and quiet weekend break. The owners were more than helpful, making sure all our needs were catered to. They also gave great advice on things to do and sights to see in the surrounding area. The housing was plain, simple and more than enough. It was a treat to relax with absolutely no interruptions (we decided to abandon all forms of technology for the weekend) and just look at the mountains, listen to the wind and have a good cup of coffee! We will definitely be back!

We were received with such hospitality and shown around. The units are spacious, very neat and clean and fully equipped for self-catering with a braai area and fireplace, surrounded by mountains, but only a 15-minute drive from Clarens. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

Had a great time. Unbelievable view and walking routes. Two friendly dogs. Huy and Betty are so friendly and helpful. Learned a lot about the eco-friendly farm. Will strongly recommend it to nature lovers.
The road to the accommodation is not made for ordinary vehicles. A larger vehicle would be much more appropriate. Hot water was not immediately available for use. We had to call first so that the problem could be solved instead of that it was prepared for our coming. When we returned from our day in Clarens on Saturday, our unit was not tidied up. Nothing was washed or made up. When we wanted to use the dishwasher it was also not in working order. The unit was covered in ants. Unfortunately, we will never use the accommodation again and will never be able to recommend it to anyone.
The accommodation is excellent, very tidy and clean. Nice living area, inside and outside, had a nice layout. The spiral staircase to the upper bedroom is tight but it is still easy to use.

The accommodation is neat and cosy with enough windows to take in the view from each room. The accommodation is close enough to Clarens for a quick visit but far enough out of town to have piece and quite. We will definitely visit again!

We had a lovely stay and were sad that it was so short. The fireplace kept us cosy in the cold and everything is so very neat! Small details make you feel like you are at a home away from home. Betty and Huy are wonderful hosts and we would love to meet Betty and see their wonderful garden on our next visit. We are amazed at what they have accomplished! Just note that the access road is problematic for low cars, but we managed to get there without any harm with a very low Lancer. Ask about the condition of the road if worried, Huy was very helpful. Would definitely recommend this for those not wanting the rush but the peace and quiet of the Clarens surrounds.
The environment is peaceful and quiet. Very nice to go for a walk. It was very difficult to find in the beginning, because there aren't really any signs. We had a very nice stay.

This place was exactly what we had in mind. Not your standard stay. Independent from Eskom and in the middle of nowhere! Could walk around on the farm and the host was really friendly and helpful.

The guesthouse is very neat and the location is fantastic. The view is breathtaking and the Huy and Betty are very friendly. The stairs at Studio Cubique are quite narrow, but the other unit is very spacious. Definitely worth while.
My husband and I were looking for a place where we could just get away from it all for two nights and recharge our batteries. It is exactly what we found at Domaine Serenite! The hosts, Betty and Huy, are two adorable people who worked hard to get the farm where it is and equip the studio well. We had a lovely stay and have no complaints! The view is beautiful, the atmosphere peaceful and you feel at one with nature. We could easily get to Clarens if we wanted to (if you have experienced the peacefulness of the farm once, then you aren't really in the mood for the busy streets of the town), went for nice walks between the overhanging cliffs and in the valley and furthermore we just read and rested. I will definitely recommend it to anyone that just wants to get away and rest!
