38 guests' feedbackIt was a great week with a peaceful atmosphere and close to Kruger gates for some of our best sightings in years.
We had a very nice stay. Everything was perfect. The kid that took carrots from my hand was special. The monkeys were beautiful and didn't bother. Lots of wildlife seen on the route to/from the accommodation. I will come again next year and definitely recommend it to future guests.
Good hospitable people. Accommodation was very neat and clean. The amount of wildlife on our visit was just a bonus. The only negative was the ugly dirt road to the destination, but the hosts can't do anything about that.
It was very pleasant.
We stayed at Doringpoort for 4 nights and can't complain about a single thing, except that we couldn't stay longer! The place is breathtakingly beautiful and a paradise! Our accommodation was beautiful and spotless. The people are very friendly and helpful. Once again, many thanks to Aunt Marina for Auntie's kindness and helpfulness. Tannie truly made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. See you again soon Tannie!

We really had a great time at Doringpoort and are already making plans to go again, miss the tranquility and beauty of the woodland. Delagoadoring unit was perfect for the three of us, clean and tidy and great customer service, thank you Marina for making us feel so at home, really enjoyed it! The night owls that came to visit in the twilight evenings and eat pieces of banana next to the braai were a highlight for my little girl, also the herd of kudu bulls that came to graze in front of our unit was fantastic!

Animals are very tame and well cared for. Nagasies almost eat out of your hand.
First off, the hospitality provided by Colin and Carien was amazing, so friendly and helpful. The place is a true paradise with everything you'll need for a quiet, lush Kruger adventure. The location has pros and cons. Pro is the Marloth park truly is a unique place and the animals in the park are beautiful and VERY close to you, it's not for granted to wake up in the morning to zebras and kudu outside your front door grazing the grass, and amazing experience!. The con is the way itself, marloth park has some tar roads but mostly (from my experience) we needed to use gravel roads which were not easy with a regular 2x4 sedan. I'm sure if we came in the dry season driving would be more pleasant but it is something to consider, though not something that isn't impossible with a normal small car.
Would recommend the place anytime. Neat, clean and well equipped with wonderful coolness and lots of wildlife around the house and braai area. Nice rest and very quiet environment.

Die plekkie het diep in ons harte geklim en ons sal beslis terug wees. Ons het gevra vir 'n "platter" om ons huweliksherdenking te vier en die gasheer en gasvrou het hulself oortref. Niks is te veel moeite vir die klomp nie. Netjies, veilig, "homely" begin nie eers beskryf hoe lekker ons gekuier het nie. Dankie julle, ons sal beslis weer kom kuier.

Friendly service and friendly staff. Calm and quiet. Uncomfortable mattress. Could possibly put a small safe inside, so that one can keep special items.
We booked Delagoadoring only to be told on arrival we had been upgraded to ApiesDoring. And we were incredibly surprised. This unit was amazing. All the windows! And the private pool and boma! But apart from that, and I believe that this will apply to every unit in Doringpoort, everything was excellent. The cleanliness, the many cupboards, the lovely bed and durable linen, the kitchen with everything you need, the privacy and the fantastic bathrooms. Everything was great. Would definitely recommend Doringpoort.

Very nice best holiday ever.
Doringpoort is lovely with several units. Delagoadoring is against another unit and sound comes through wall. If it rains you have to sit on your bed and eat. The outdoor table and chairs barely fit in the room. I like my privacy and will book again at Doringpoort but not Delagoadoring.
Had a great time and saw many animals and birds. The chalets are well equipped and tidy. Maybe just put up a canopy at the third chalet to facilitate outside dining if it rains as there is no sitting/dining area inside. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Wat 'n wonderlike plek om jou batterye weer te kan herlaai. Ons kon heerlik rus die dae wat ons nie ingegaan het wildtuin nie. Baie dankie vir 'n wonderlike verblyf. Heerlik. Ons het kameelperde, kudus, rooibokke, varkies en duikers op ons voorstoep gehad. Amper op Krugerwildtuin se grensdraad.
Colin and his subordinates really do their best to make their guests forget that they are away from home.
Clean, tidy facilities! Only negative point is that we could hear everything in the unit next to us. I'm not sure if there are stairs/wood floors in there. It bothered a lot. Other than that, no complaints, and we will stay again!

The hosts went out of their way to cater for our additional requests, the cleaning staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the accommodation is super-clean, adhering to all Covid-19 protocols. We will definitely visit this establishment again. The location was perfect to relax and unwind and the regular visits by various buck, zebra, giraffe etc made our stay all the more special.

The room was very well equipped, as well as clean and tidy. The service from the staff was fantastic and could not have been better. The location within Marloth is also excellent, you are pretty much surrounded by wildlife. Would just like the shower to be looked at, it's either blazing hot or freezing cold.

Due to Covid 19 protocols "Die Grot" and "Die Ossewa Restaurant" are temporarily not available, however, we still offer in-house catering delivered directly to your unit. Only Breakfast and Dinner options available with prior arrangement.
Laundry service is available at an additional fee.
Grocery shopping services are available at R 150 per shopping request. The shopping list will need to be emailed 72 hours in advance.
Doringpoort also adds the extra service of an on-site tour desk that is available to arrange all activities within Kruger Park and the surrounding areas, subject to availability. During peak periods it is advisable to pre-book day visits and activities to ensure you get access into the Kruger National Park.
For your convenience we also have an on-site convenience shop with some basic items, like Ice, firewood, charcoal, firelighters, water, braai packs, freshly baked rusks, pods for coffee machine, dark roast coarse ground coffee and fresh products depending on what is in season. A coffee plunger is available in all rooms.
Kitchens are fully equipped with all the essentials. Should you prefer bring along your big pots and coffee machine to start your day. Keep in mind to please respect the appliances in the units.
All items found missing or broken will be charged before departure, therefore staff will start checking before departure time. In the event of early departures, we reserve the right to charge for any missing or broken items.
A fee of R500 will be charged in the case of lost keys or un-returned keys, as the lock will have to be changed.
