The place needs a good clean. The floor, shower, and where the floor meets the wall are full of grime and dirt. I cleaned some with a wet cloth.
No. Noise in the neighborhood. Neighbors and dogs fight late into the night. Construction activity next to the premises during holiday time. No provision of hosting.
Very disappointed in the dirty pool. Window shutter in the bedroom was very noisy.
We were traveling and only found out when we collected the key that we had to pay a deposit. It is a unit for 2 people, but not even the 2 wine glasses looked the same and the cutlery is of extremely poor quality. The unit reeked of smoke from the previous people who had made a fire in the fireplace to the point of suffocation, but the agent barely made an effort to improve it. Definitely not a place or agents we would use again.
We loved the place and will definitely book the same unit again.
Paternoster is quiet and peaceful, but the unit is in a part that I don't think feels very safe. Restaurants are very good. Linen and kitchen accessories such as pan need serious attention. The blanket was not clean, and although the unit is nice, the cleanliness was not up to standard. It is self-catering, but lacks an iron and hairdryer which we are used to in other units we visit. The parking doesn't feel safe either.

Everything was well taken care of, right and beautiful. We enjoyed the 3 days there. The staff specially went back to the unit to make sure we didn't forget a small bag there. We really appreciated it.

The unit is neat and clean with a beautiful view. The unit does not have a king size bed as advertised. There is a very basic set of cutlery and kitchenware. I know it's advertised like that, but you don't know what's at the unit and what you have to bring with you. Then provide a list of what cutlery the unit does have and what is lacking and what you know to bring with you. The area where the unit is located feels unsafe. If a wall or a gate can be put up in front of the unit, it will help a lot with safety. A large breakage deposit is required, but things like the pillows, toaster, kettle etc. needs some renovation (cushions especially with big spots on them).
Asked for a R4000 key deposit only after booking was paid for. Never once mentioned in their ad. After our stay, they claimed that we broke a door lock and one of the room's glasses was missing. Their alarm does not work when it's loadshedding. No safety. Low walls.
The place brings tranquility. It's very peaceful and quiet. Perfect place if you want to get away from a busy life. Beautiful views and surroundings.
If you need space, book the Sage unit.
The place looks exactly like the pictures. Neat and clean, but the body is not the best. Didn't feel very safe. Had trouble sleeping with an alarm going off intermittently in one of the other rooms. Building next door which also made a lot of noise.
The alarm kept going off since we arrived on Friday. The security firm was there, but it went off all night and no one could turn it off. Only on Saturday, in the afternoon, did the technician come.
I didn't want to leave a review at first because we already gave our opinion, but I keep getting the email, so here it is. Unfortunately we will not use the unit again. We first had to go to the store to get wood, blitz, lighter, soap, coffee, etc. for sale and then the power was off all day on the last day. The floor in the bedroom and shower was very dirty. No mirror in bedroom to dry my hair. No fan or aircon. Other than that, everything was nice and tasty. I feel we could be closer to the sea for the same price and not need to go and buy the whole kitchen expensively at the only cafe in Paternoster.
Rooms just needs aircon for summer!
The unit provides a small bar fridge which is far too small for a self-catering unit. The unit only has a light for during load shedding and that's it. No gas for food or making coffee.
Would have expected extra toilet paper and clean towels as we spent 3 nights there.
The residential area is very quiet, just a pity it doesn't cater for family, but otherwise it was very nice.

We wanted a neat, nice and relaxed place to get away for a few days. Peaceful and friendly little town and place to stay. My feedback would be to look into providing tea & coffee as well as soap in the bathroom, that's standard practice at most places to be honest but other than that it was a great stay.
All that was needed was a descent for the vehicle. Also awesome.
More attention can be paid to parking because vehicles must park outside the premises.
The walking distance to all facilities is welcomed and the hospitality was something special.

Whole village and the view of dreamcatcher was breathtaking, whole lobster fried and hanging out with the locals. The unit is fully furnished and you lack nothing. Just enough food for a seafood barbecue. Was a wonderful experience.
Stay in Paternoster has made the accommodation as safe as possible for the location of the unit. Had a beautiful sea view and the unit was tidy.

We found the bed to be comfortable and the shower nice and hot. The only complaint I have, is the smell from the fireplace.
It has a very nice view and the beach is very close but the location is not amazing, felt a bit unsafe the first night. There is also no salt and sugar and that type of stuff.
The fireplace smoked a lot. We couldn't make use of it at all. So the room was cold. The WiFi was also out of order all the time. We reported the fireplace and all we were told was open the window and the door. It's already cold, now we have to get even colder.
I definitely recommend this place. Clean, friendly customer service. Beautiful view. Nice and intimate place. However, the WiFi was a bit problematic on Saturday.
The mattress may need to be replaced, slept uncomfortably. The sprinklers in the bath are not working, otherwise the place was beautiful.

Very nice visit, very neat and clean with a very nice visiting and braai area accompanied by a fantastic view. What was a bit bad was that there was no coffee, milk or drinking water already in the apartment.
It was easy to find. Location was good. Everything was neat, clean and in place. We could just pack our bags and come. My husband and I were exhausted and overworked and needed the break, it was really worth it and more. Already planning our next trip to DreamCatcher. I can not wait.
The apartment was beautiful and spacious, well equipped with all necessities. The only dissatisfaction I had was the fact that the bath (Jacuzzi type?) didn't seem to work and the towels had a smell once used to dry my hands.
We stayed in Sage, the braai area is fantastic and has a sea view, the place was neat and beautiful. There was nothing for short-stay guests, we had to buy our own salt and goodies.
I will definitely visit Paternoster again.

Nice setting and you can hear the ocean. The inside fireplace is a great idea, but it caused a lot of inside smoke which was unpleasant.

The sink is a little too low and causes back problems and the stove is again a little too high. Everything else was perfect!
We had a great stay Lavender is the perfect unit. Braai place actually had to be built with firebrick as there is often wind along the West Coast and it is a bit worse at the top but otherwise everything was perfect.
Dreamcatcher allowed my husband and I to really relax and find our feet before returning to the demands of our jobs. The place was clean and tidy and the little pool allowed us to cool off since the ocean water was way too cold.
The Positive. The accommodation was very nice, bright and comfortable, very clean and everything you needed. The indoor fireplace is a weekend saver. The reviews are good. The parking is unfortunately not secure and not ideal for the area but not a deal-breaker. The Negative: When booking this accommodation I assumed it would be a relaxing and restful environment based on the fact that the 4 units could only accommodate 2 guests each. Unfortunately, this was not the case arriving on Friday the parking area was full and there were at least 6 people in the above unit having a really loud time with music and conversations that grew louder as the night grew, they were even chopping wood on the concrete floor above us. Thank goodness for load shedding at 10 pm! The Saturday the other occupied unit joined the upstairs guys by inviting their own 6 guests over with their own loud music and conversation! So needless to say we were not rested or relaxed and very disappointed.
We had contractors on site for the whole week which meant there was no privacy for my wife to use the pool. There were no contractors over the weekend but the pool wasn't cleaned over the weekend either - full of grass from the wind blowing fiercely on the West Coast.
Our accommodation was comfortable and tidy. The coffee plungers in Mint and Rosemary just need to be replaced, because we couldn't use them. The toilet in Mint was also completely off the ground. The owner is aware of this.
Rested well and it was peaceful.
Accommodation was very nice and extremely clean. No problems with the booking in and departure. Room was perfect for two guests.
Just one worry is the cars are not parked in very secure space, but overall we had a good time. Thank you.
The only problem we had was that the pool was not cleaned before we arrived. Very disappointed as relaxing in the pool would've been the highlight of our weekend. Lots to see and buy. I also enjoyed spending Saturday afternoon on the beach.
Since beach water is extremely cold, I would recommend a heated pool that will make it pleasant to swim and enjoy the water. Absolutely value for money.

The place has a beautiful view and it is extremely neat, clean and fully equipped. All that bothered us was the noise (people's music playing rock hard, screaming at each other and the constant barking of dogs) at night, which is from the small houses located just behind the DreamCatcher.
The place is beautiful and just the right amount of space. However, I would like secure parking. The kitchen zinc is a bit low. When making a fire inside we had to open the windows and door for the smoke to escape if not the place will be filled with smoke in minutes, which we did not enjoy. We have now experienced the inside fireplace and we don't mind going without it next time, as the smoke inhalation was bad. The cottage should also be aired before new guest arrive as the smoke smell was eye tearing and coughs were bad when we walked in but we would definitely like to book again as those are all things that can be improved on. We will definitely book again, I think this time we will go for the upstairs cottage though.

Holidaying in Paternoster (for the first time) was a wonderful experience. The beautiful white town that is totally unartificial and pure white here on the West Coast of South Africa is a surprise. I hope that no big shopping centers and too much bling will change the village's uniqueness. It's just rest for your soul. The place is big enough, well furnished and close to everything. We felt safe.

The place was very nice, spacious and very neat. The ocean view was beautiful, and we saw Whales from the deck. We could also watch the sunset from the deck. My husband and I are definitely going back there again. You have a beach view and an ocean view. It was really amazing.

I would definitely recommend DreamCatcher for couples looking for a quiet getaway. The unit is equipped with everything one would normally need and we did not experience any shortcomings. The unit is also within walking distance of the beach and offers a great view of the sea.

Dirty cups, dirty towels, not a pot to cook in, not a pleasant kitchen sink (very low), stove plates rusted, cutlery not cleaned. I understand that's it's self catering, however, not even the basics are usable.
Amazing accommodation, we went down with the sole intent to rest and we did exactly that. Definitely will be going back.
Just a small fridge is totally inadequate, especially because DreamCatcher requires a minimum stay of 3 days, freezer compartment even smaller. Deposit refund whole week later after we had to make inquiry.
Beautiful rooms, beds and bedding excellent, very clean, nice and spacious, well furnished and well located in quiet surroundings.
Very quiet and peaceful place. Would have preferred just a fan, as you can't sleep with the windows open. No burglar bars in front of windows. The perspex transverse strips are not safe, more for decoration. A bread board and bread knife would also be appreciated, and perhaps a DStv package with more channels. Otherwise it met all our requirements. Would definitely recommend DreamCatcher Self-catering.
We had no hot water on Saturday morning, no one could take a shower. We had a barbecue, there was a barbecue area but no barbecue accessories.

The stay at DreamCatcher Self-catering was really value for money! It's clean and tidy and it has everything you'll need in a self-catering unit.
Clean and neat and lovely. We had a great stay in Paternoster on Saturday night. Annelise is a lovely host and I would recommend her without hesitation. The room was clean and neat and very well kitted out. My only feedback (I am from hospitality and tourism industry) is that she needs to add braai tongs, braai grid brush and a chopping board to the equipment. Also the sink is very low in the kitchen but it was manageable with the small number of dishes we were washing.
