Although an absolutely beautiful location, the house, gardening and general maintenance needs attention. We are always grateful to stay within the Clarens region on our travels, but the house (especially electronics and general maintenance in and around the house) needs to be brought back to its former fancy prestige level.
We absolutely loved our time in Clarens and we were blown away by our accommodation. The views were out of this world. The only disappointment is that your wording of being able to use Kiara Lodge was very misleading. As we went there to go play putt-putt but we were told that we couldn't. So I would recommend that you relook at that. But we loved exploring Clarens and had a beautiful family weekend. Thank you.
Very nice place to just relax and spend time with your family. The place was neat and very clean. Rooms are nice and spacious with lots of space. The best is if it is loadshedding, all the lights in the house work. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Thank you very much for receiving us so warmly and being very accommodating. There is everything needed in the house and we had a great barbecue, thank you very much. Each room with its own bathroom is a big plus, but also the large dining room table and the table outside, make it nice to hang out together. Thanks for letting our puppy hang out, it was a bonus!

The dogs loved the ample space to roam and morning/afternoon walks was sufficient to tire out energetic dogs! Inside fireplace was great for evening chills as well as electric blankets. House is close to Clarens for golf, shopping etc.

It was bitterly cold, but still no wood for the fireplace. We made a reservation for 8 people but were not told that the house only accommodates 6 people, the result was 2 people on the lounge sofas. Glassware not uniform, one of each glass available.
There are waterbucks and deer on the farm. The foxes called in the evening. It was truly private and we will definitely visit them again.
We really enjoyed our stay. The home was clean and tidy and we really appreciated it.
Enjoyed the view and tranquility. Neat and comfortable. Although we rented the whole house I understand that if you only use one room, the rest is rented out to other strangers. Make sure you don't share the house with others. We prefer a wood or charcoal grill. There is only a gas grill here. Check-out time was Sunday 10:00. The cleaner arrived already at 09:00 and literally started cleaning under our feet and removing bedding. Got the feeling we were in her way.
The manager did not receive us, the man who checked us in would come back to us about a braai. On Sunday when we called the manager there was no answer. When we had to check out no one answered their phones, we had to leave the place open. No coffee, nothing to wash your glasses with etc. No privacy the people in the rest of the house were awake early in the morning, could not let sleep. It was not at all what we expected. If you go to Dynasty's website, they say there's a portable charcoal grill, we took meat with us to grill, but we couldn't. No one wanted to help us. Would not recommend, look around, there are better places.
If hiring, must include kitchen, no braai area no kitchen if hiring just a room.
The location is beautiful, never thought the Golden Gate was so picturesque. The "guest house" is on a farm and we saw ostriches, antelopes and the howling of foxes is nostalgic for us city dwellers, and the silence is wonderful!
