Our stay was very enjoyable.
The house is comfortably furnished for a family. It is a safe neighborhood, ideal for walking, swimming and cycling. We especially enjoy the visit on the stoep with a beautiful view of the lake. We did have some problems with the DSTV but gained access using our own account number.
Fans and aircons very dusty, kitchen cupboards old, TV not working properly anymore, but still beats camping.
Kids loved the freedom. Beautiful views of the river. It's very safe. The house has all what is needed. Beds are very comfortable. plenty extra blankets. Definitely will be making this an annual family event.

We were welcomed with open arms and a big smile by Rachel, the beautiful lady who received and showed us the ropes. In the clean, peaceful, calm atmosphere of Sedgefield, we encountered many friendly people in the area where Estuary Breeze is located. Estuary Breeze Cottage is exactly as it appears on the sweet sleep website. The cottage is clean, live friendly and contains all the household equipment we needed. I really enjoyed the short weekend at Estuary Breeze and would definitely advise anyone to consider it a home away from home.
The lake view adds to the tranquility that makes it a very pleasant place to holiday. We would have loved to stay there longer and can only speak highly of it to others.
We stayed in the main house and the owners were incredibly helpful with any questions we had during the stay. This house is on the lagoon so you have to drive to get to the beach, but that means you can choose a new beach to explore every day.

We went there to celebrate my husband Godfrey's birthday. The children came from the Cape and we from Port Elizabeth. Everything was perfect. I would recommend it to any one. Neatly clean and enough of everything. They go out of their way to help. I will definitely go there again.
A shame that there wasn't a double bed, only twin beds.
We were not happy with the fact that we had to pay a separate cleaning fee of R370 which we found to be a bit high as well as the fact that out plans for the day were disrupted due to the fact that we had to wake early and wait for the cleaning lady to come in.
We really had a lovely weekend at Estuary Breeze. The cottage was very neatly furnished and really had everything one could need. A real home away from home. The area is also very beautiful and peaceful. Although there was a Weber braai available for barbecuing, we would have preferred a braai area, because it's always more cozy to hang out next to a fire during the braai. But we will definitely stay here again in the future!
First time I booked through LekkeSlaap Estuary Breeze, exceeded all expectations. Very nice meeting area with indoor braai, ideal for the cold evenings, layout of the residential units is great and very practical. More than enough bathrooms. Only negative point maybe is the main house's master bedroom bed sleeps uncomfortable, feels like sleeping in "cavity", not good for one's back.
What a wonderful place. The view across the lake is fantastic and in combination with the tranquility of the island, it made our stay so much more enjoyable. The cottage with everything that is offers, allow one to totally relax. Thanks to Mellissa for going out of her way to make sure all is in order. Thank you again for the wonderful opportunity. Compliments to Estuary Breeze on a very well equipped, comfortable and well priced home. Sedgefield is a hidden gem and its location lends itself to a good base from where you can explore the area. Hats off to the owner who takes the time to check on her guests well being.
We happened to be at Estuary the same week as the owners and they certainly went out of their way with effort and treats to make us feel welcome and at home. Such warm and genuine people! The unit was very neat and clean and very well furnished. You can really only take clothes and food with you because everything else is there. The island is truly peaceful and safe and from Estuary we have the most beautiful view of the river and marsh. Definitely one of our favorite new getaways! We are already planning to go back soon.
We met the owners and they are so passionate about their holiday home. The Cottage is well-equipped and they really went to a lot of trouble. Nice and central on Die Eiland close to the water with a nice view of the lake. We will definitely come again next year.
