16 guests' feedbackWe were desperately looking for accommodation and the friendly host assisted us immediately. Lovely large room and bathroom. Could enjoy the view from the stoep! I can recommend Fijnbos Manor.
We will come back again. We loved the place.
I have had the opportunity to meet the owner as I booked in and he immediately made me feel welcome and at home. They are still in the process some repairs / upgrading the building and from what I could see, Fijnbos Manor will definitely become a popular destination. The owner def have an eye for detail and think the lodge will be beautiful once completed. The lodge is situated in such a perfect spot, easy access to the beach, local pub where the locals were just as friendly and inviting as at the lodge.
We got a warm welcome. The safety is visible, not only for you but for the cars as well. The people are friendly and make you feel right at home. I would anytime recommend the place to other guests as well. You also have a privilege to be able to get the early sea breeze.
Fijnbos is very accommodating to reasonable requests from guests, making guests feel very much at home there.
Unenthusiastic assistant with reception, no information regarding No "loadshedding" (twice in one day), no matches or lighter for two mancolic candles. Front door does not stay closed unless it is locked. Shower is in the bath - very "fancy" shower head, but water control knob is broken. Entire bathroom is stuck in the 70s. Breakfast was extra - but they advertise as B&B? Photo of room is accurate, but very smart of Fijnbos not to include the bathroom in the photos!
When you book for bed and breakfast it is generally accepted that you pay for the whole experience and that breakfast is included in the price. In this case, the price of R100 for breakfast (quite excessive) was not included in the price. There was also no mention on the website that breakfast was not included in the price per night. If I had been aware of that, I would have looked at other possibilities that did include breakfast. Travelers must determine in advance whether or not breakfast is included.
The manager, William, went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and welcome. The lovely room had everything I needed for my stay.

Awesome experience. Amazing view of the garden and pool. Close to shops, beach, penguins. Hosts were friendly and rooms were neat and clean. Will definitely will come back again and recommend to others. Thank you!

Phabion served us a nice breakfast. We were really at home and more. We had access to everything. I would recommend that they change the shower head to a water saving one with a 200mm extension though. I felt so guilty with water coming down on me like that regardless of whether you try to limit the flow. Will take the kids next time.
Neat and clean. Got delicious breakfast in the mornings and felt at home.
Thank you Fijnbos for a comfortable place to stay, almost like your own home. The kids enjoyed the pool, Paul's attention to detail was appreciated and we would make this a base to move from again. There is so much to do in the area, we will simply have to come back.
