Ismael received us kindly and took us to a beautiful room with the most beautiful view. Even the bathroom has the most beautiful view.
Warm friendly helpful staff and a delicious very abundant breakfast, all in all a very pleasant stay.
I think it's more suitable for guests for whom hygiene is less important. We emailed in advance with dietary requirements, the email was not answered, nor were phone calls. Needless to say, no attention was paid to the e-mail request. It is very clear that the place is not run by an owner. We will not stay here again.
The staff are lovely and friendly. The accommodation was also really nice however they do need to sort out the plumbing as when we arrived the loo was clean and empty but when we got back from going out, there was faeces in the loo. The ashtray on the balcony was full of cigarettes and was not cleaned. The bath/Jacuzzi jets would need to be cleaned too as when turned on a bit of brown sludge came out. The WiFi did not work at all either.
The guest house is perfectly located. With a fantastic view over Kampsbaai.
Room is a bit small but bathroom big. The views are amazing. TV was limited channels.
The Finchley Guesthouse is situated in a walking distance of the restaurants in a mostly quiet neighbourhood. because of holiday start there were several loud private parties nearby.

Finchley Guesthouse is a fantastic guesthouse where you can be close to everything with an amazing view of the ocean. Peace and quiet is what you can find here.
It is a very nice place and very clean. The units have a very nice sea view with very good service. The area is very quiet but is still close to the sea to hear the sea at night.

Good service, large rooms and delicious breakfast. We had a bit of trouble with the bath (the plug doesn't work well and there are stains on the carpet). Also, the cars had to stand outside in the road during the night. We had a wonderful stay, next time we would rather stay closer to the sea.

The stay was excellent. We enjoyed staying there so much. Gibson and the rest of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again and will recommend Finchley House to friends and family. Breakfasts were delicious and exquisite.
Nice stay. Attention can be paid to how the breakfast is prepared. Everything was overcooked. Cold water in the fridge for guests would be nice, as well as "decaf" coffee and rooibos tea. Bigger towels would be welcome. The service of the staff was very friendly.
