Accommodation is offered in 5 stylishly decorated cabins, fully equipped for self-catering. Three cabins have two bedrooms and a big double sleeper couch in the lounge, comfortably sleeping 6 guests. Two cabins are open-plan, with a king-size bed or 2 single beds. Each cabin has an indoor fireplace for the chilly Winter nights as well as a covered deck from which to admire our spectacular views. All cabins are elevated off the ground and small children will need to be supervised.
A small splash pool is available at the picnic and play area and all guests are welcome to cool off on a hot day.
Forest View Cabins is surrounded by an electrified fence as well as CCTV for your safety and peace of mind, while you relax and unwind.
Forest View Cabins is perfectly situated for guests to explore the surrounding areas which offer a multitude of diverse things to see and do. It was a beautiful self-catering cabin, perfect for seeking out and adventuring with ample scenery and privacy. They followed up daily, provided us with more than required, and they were always willing to come and service the cabin. The gas geyser does take some getting used to as it is sensitive when balancing the hot and cold water. Overall, it was a very pleasurable stay, especially if you plan to tour and check out the amazing areas at and around Tzaneen.
The place is fantastic. My fiancé and I enjoyed it so much. The view is amazing. And the place is super cozy. 10/10 would go back again any day.

The interaction with the owner is very good, there were no problems with the keys. Everything was well explained and they let us know about all power problems. The road is in fairly good condition, the places are very neat and the silence and nature are incredible.
We were booked into Cabin 2. Everything was nice and clean and everything we needed was there. Tracy also emailed us all information in advance, as well as WhatsApp the necessary codes on the day of arrival. The view from the porch was breathtaking. I would recommend Forest View Cabins to anyone looking to rest. I also just want to mention that our deposit was already paid back to us within a day. That's quite something to mention to you.
We had a great time, the place is beautiful, clean and very quiet. A real place for resting and calming the mind. Very soothing to the soul. An amazing hideaway, great for research writing or soul searching process.

It's a cute place and extremely clean, tidy and well equipped. We had a great time relaxing.
The cabin is beautiful along with the view of the mountains. Tracy was a wonderful agent that always kept us up to date with load shedding times, gave clear instructions and information and regularly checked in on us. The cabin's inverter was amazing and kept our lights on the whole time. The only suggestion we have for the cabin is more variety in coffee/tea choices and some milk. Other than that we have no complaints about our stay and enjoyed it immensely. Would highly recommend it.

Myself and my two daughters spend two days at Forest View Cabins and we loved the visit. We had all we needed, the service was great and the view was manjifiek. The surrounding area was very well looked after and we had rain, then even started the fireplace, this made the cabin warm and homey. The braai area was nice and private. Road signs were clear, 3.5 km dirt road in good condition. 20 minutes from Tzaneen. Easy access with key waiting for us in the safe. "Inverter" and generator for power supply during load shedding. Comfortable cottage with a beautiful view. Secure grounds (electric fence).

Quiet cabin, modern build, and clean. Great customer service with messages every day on loadshedding schedule and generator available for loadshedding in the evening. Check-in & out was easy and straightforward. Most amazing views of the mountains and forest. Note there is no oven in the unit (which was not a problem for us), and a separate payment of the security deposit needs to be made. These points were not issues for us but something to note for other travellers. Wonderful stay overall.

We really enjoyed the weekend at Forest View. Beautiful view and a peaceful environment, which is what we were looking for. The grounds and the houses are very neat and clean. It's really cold up in the mountain so pack something extra warm. The fireplace made up for it.
Our stay was top notch. Everything very clean and tidy. The place was very well equipped for self-catering. The living area, kitchen and bathroom are spacious enough for two people. It rained for two days and was very foggy and cold, which the wood dust made up for. The gardens and cottages are very beautiful and secure with electric fencing. From our arrival to departure everything was very well organized. Definitely a place to visit if you are looking for peace of mind.
I can't help but recommend Forest View Cabins. This is a great getaway. The silence and natural beauty with an incredible view make you feel as if you are somewhere abroad. Here you find yourself enjoying nature again. The biggest bonus is that there is no TV.

We stayed 2 nights, it was cold and misty but the fireplace in the cabin made up for the cold weather. The board games available was a lovely touch. Forest cabins is an excellent place to stay over and explore Tzaneen and Magoebaskloof.
