Good Riddin's Beach Cottage is a lovely self-catering family getaway cottage, ideal to relax and recharge body and soul in the ‘barefoot capital’ of Kenton-on-Sea. The neighbourhood is generally very peaceful and the beautiful trees surrounding the property attract awesome bird life, including the red-bill hornbill and Knysna turaco.
Kenton-on-Sea is situated between 2 rivers namely, the Kariega River and Boesmansrivier, both rivers flow into the Indian Ocean. It is 120 km from Port Elizabeth, 150 km from East London and 60 km from Makhanda (Grahamstown).
The Cottage is approximately 300 m from the lagoon and pristine beaches where there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed. It is also within close distance to the shopping centre, doctor, dentist and restaurants
The cottage is situated behind the main house, but has its own private entrance. The cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests and contains 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The first bedroom contains a double bed and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds. The second bathroom contains a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. Shower gel, hand wash and cleaning agents are provided. We have a camping cot and baby bath available for toddlers.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a 2-plate mini-stove and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, and toaster. The lounge features seating and a TV connected to the internet with access to various social media apps and premium DStv. Free uncapped Wi-Fi is available.
Outside, there is a braai area with outdoor dining furniture for guests to make use of.1 bag of wood, lighter and fire lighter will be supplied. There is parking for 1 car, behind a remote-controlled gate. A few games are provided and boogie boards are available should anyone wish to use them in the waves.

We had a great stay in this little cottage. Our host was always available (either in person or over WhatsApp) and very friendly and helpful. The flat/cottage has everything you'd need for a short stay in Kenton. We loved how close we were to the town and also the beach.
Good Riddin's Beach Cottage felt like a home away from home. The unit has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, a short walk to the lagoon and beach and to two popular restaurants - and it is an easy walk into town too. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. We loved our stay, and will definitely stay there again if we were to return to Kenton.

Situated in the perfect area, walking distance from the shops, restaurants and the beach. The place is cosy and well looked after. Clean and has everything you need.
The cottage was well equipped, clean, and all necessities are catered for. The hosts were awesome.
All your basic amenities you need for vacation and even for sea activities. Very quiet and safe area. Walking distance to everything, if you like it. Fantastic service, helpfulness, neat, clean and very friendly owners.
The place is very well located and everything was in good condition.
The very narrow access road between the house and boundary wall (too narrow for a large vehicle) and the view of large cement water tanks is a negative for me. Inside the unit it is quite comfortable except that the odd layout suggests that it was not really planned as a unit. The closet height 'dry wall' of the master bedroom is also strange.
Thanks to Cherryll and Kevin who were perfect hosts, our stay was a pleasure from arrival to our reluctant departure. The cottage catered to our every need and more. We will definitely recommend Good Riddin's Beach Cottage to all our friends and family.
The cottage is perfectly located, just a stone's throw away from the beach, local restaurants, bars, grocery stores and filling stations; within walking distance! Thank you for making my brother's graduation one for the books! Our hosts were friendly, easily contactable and truly accommodating; to the extent of making means to ensure my mother could study and write her online UNISA exam, without stress.

Friendly welcome. Nice big and clean cottage in a very peaceful location. Within walking distance of the sea and the restaurants. We did not use the car during our stay.
Kevin and Cherrall were outstanding hosts.
We stayed 4 nights in this tidy clean space located within walking distance of both the beach and shops/restaurants. We ate out mostly as there are a number of options nearby and spent most of our days on the various beautiful beaches; we used the space primarily as a place to put our heads down so it worked well for us. The owners were both friendly and helpful.
Sherryl and Kevin were wonderful hosts and extremely accommodating. The cottage is conveniently situation close to all amenities. Highly recommended.
