Fantastic host and hostess - Jan and Karen. Made a lot of effort to make us feel at home. Made contact every day to find out if everything was ok with our stay. Started to feel like family. Comfortable and convenient stay. Fully equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.
We had a great time at Jan and Karin's place. They immediately made us feel at home. The house is spacious and offers extra amenities that just make it nice, especially if one is going to stay there for a few days. The environment with the gray goats made the stay extra special.
Wonderful, friendly and hospitable hosts. Roomy and everything you would need and more! The kids loved the little deer and animals. Load shedding did not influence our stay!
It was wow! Clean, tidy, private. Enjoyed the quiet of the farm.
We couldn't have had a better holiday. One needs to be prepared to live on a farm, and it was just what we needed.

Upon arrival we were welcomed as if we had known each other for years. Jan, they are absolute heart people. Typical farm life for us farm lads. While we sit and barbecue, the gray goats walk past you and the turtle comes to visit. The house is nice and spacious for large families or friends who travel together and want to spend the night on a working farm.
There was a problem with the water owing to the nearby roadworks and the severing of the water pipe: outside the control of the host but meant there was a delay in getting clean water and no hot shower available. The solar light bulbs were a problem for us as they come on in the night with Eskom loadshedding and this wakes us up and there is no off-switch (the bulbs in the main bedroom are in the main light fitting). We prefer to sleep in the dark, but others may prefer light on.
We really enjoy it. The goats are too cute and Jan and Karen are very nice people. Thank you very much.
We had an awesome stay with lots of space for everyone. Nice braai space. We all enjoyed watching the buck. Good advice from the owner on things to do.
Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We loved the grysbokkies in the garden, especially the baby!
We were thankful to be able to find this overnight place at the last minute, and we were given the entire house for the rate of one room, which was extremely generous. The place is funky in that it's a much older style, but no complaints about the cleanliness or hospitality. The owners met us on-site during load shedding and though it was super creepy to arrive in such a large house in the pitch dark, they had security lights for us and gave us a tour of the property so we didn't feel so overwhelmed. They also gave us directions to the closest eating establishment which was a good 15 minutes away, but when we returned, it was peaceful and we slept well. The only issue was that the water heater did not work (cold showers), and it turned out that the gas had been turned off outside as the property hadn't been stayed in for a while, and I guess they were trying to prevent a potential leak. They fell all over themselves to try to make it right, though, and we eventually figured it out on our own.
Was received like old friends, there were toys for our children, 6 and 3 years old. A cot for our baby, 1 year. We had a great time relaxing and experiencing a bit of Karoo farm life.
Jan and Karen are amazing people who make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. We had a nice stay and visit in their beautiful farmhouse. Will go back to visit Grysbok again anytime.
We were warmly welcomed and had a great time in the garden with the gray goats and birds. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful and the farmhouse extremely well maintained and comfortable. We wish them enough rain at the right time and blessing from the hand of the Creator who made this beautiful environment.

The farmhouse is spacious, nice Lapa to sit in the evening. It contains all the comforts as if at your own home.
We were warmly received by the owners. They kept in touch on the way there. Very nice stay and all the necessary amenities were there that we needed. Beautiful farm atmosphere, and very safe.
Friendly people and a warm welcome. Lovely working Karoo farm. Because of Prolonged drought is having a hard time with the farmers, but their courage, perseverance and generosity make you want to go back again. Fantastic experience!

We were kindly and cordially awaited at the farm gate. Lovely, cool farmhouse, with a wide smile from Jan made us feel right at home.
Highly recommend Grysbok Self-catering Country House. It was a fantastic home away from home. Jan and Karen were awesome hosts! The animals all around us were such a beautiful experience. We loved every minute and will definitely be back.
Our children especially enjoyed the goats and the garden.

The house is large and roomy with many rooms and would be ideal for a large family group. The en-suite main bedroom even has a cot with a baby bath and there is a high chair in the dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped and the rest of the house is fully and comfortably furnished with everything you would expect in your own home, and more. There are many cupboards to unpack and store your personal belongings and clothes and plenty of clothes hangers to hang them on. The grysbokkies are beautiful and the adults quite used to people. The owners of the farm are friendly and very helpful and treat you almost like family, and make you feel at home in their lovely farmhouse.
The house is spacious and well equipped. The Brinks, our host and wife, received us at the entrance to the farm and immediately made us feel welcome.
We really enjoyed our one night at Grysboomplaashuis. The house has everything one would need and Jan even made sure that wood was available. There is a very nice place to hang out at the outdoor barbecue. Thank you for a very good experience. I recommend the house to everyone, whether you come with a group of 2 or 10.
What a special experience! Lovely, large farmhouse, equipped with everything imaginable. We really enjoyed our time at Grysbok! We left with a bitterly heavy heart and would have loved to stay longer. We can confidently recommend Grysbok. It is a piece of heaven in the Klein-Karoo. Jan and Karen are fantastic people and their hospitality was really top notch.

The house is big, but not very clean. Very dusty. Aircon in one room did not work. Karen and Jan are very friendly and helpful, came just too much for our liking to see if we were ok. We would have liked it more if they asked on a WhatsApp rather than making so many rounds. The house is comfortable for a family, child-friendly.
Very friendly and warm owners who ensure that everything is in order. The location of the accommodation ensures an ideal break from the noise of city life. The goats around the house are also a unique experience.
Thank you very much, we enjoyed the one night we slept there. Sit quietly between the grysbok and enjoy the lovely sunset and bird sounds. The place has everything one needs, to air conditioning in some rooms. Spacious, pleasant host and hostess. Would love to visit your place again.

Had a great time and Jan taught us to fish bass in the dam on his farm. Fantastic to get up close to differenent animals. The antelope walk around freely on the farm and Jan and his family are excellent hosts. Can't praise Grysbok enough. Thanks Jan and the Brink family!
