Neat and easy to find.
I will recommend Hartklop to anyone. Louise was friendly and very helpful. The room was incredibly neat and the coffee and rusks in the room was extra kind. We had a good night's rest and could hit the road early in the morning again.
Hartklop's accommodation is value for money. Everything needed is there, and hospitality.
Thanks for the coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits, would have liked some milk too. Air conditioning would have been welcome, as well as a TV and sink in the kitchen.

We were kindly received and informed about where the places to eat are. All that was a bit of a disappointment is that the place does not have a television in their units. Kids were pretty bored. For overnight it is good. It's neat and clean.
Very basic accommodation but sufficient for a night's layover when travelling from Cape Town. Easily accessible from the highway but still far enough away to be quiet. A word of advice though - bring your own pillow/s.

Harklop Eer die Lewe is a very nice, clean and comfortable overnight accommodation. The owners are very friendly and accomodating as well. It's also a bonus that they allow small dogs as long as they are notified. I will definitely stay there again.

If you like a firm mattress and hard pillows, you will enjoy a good night's rest. Personally, it was too hard for the three of us after the long road already done and what still lay ahead. Furthermore, everything is very comfortable and tidy.

Neat and clean, with all facilities needed for an overnight stay.
Our family of 4 stayed at the above overnight accommodation. The room where the 4 of us slept was clean and neatly furnished. All I would suggest is that there should be clear indications of where to park, as the resident and guest parking overlap. The requested time for guests to leave the premises is 08:00 am (where other guesthouses/overnight rooms are 10:00 am), this is very early precisely because guests travel far and thus need to get enough rest.
There is a nice spacious yard which is closed for people with dogs to loosen their legs a little after a long journey on the road.

It was so nice to be greeted generously and kindly. Louise kept in touch with SMS and made us feel welcome. Safe and quiet environment. We were able to relax in privacy and spend the night in our melodic unity. It was bitterly cold and an oil heater was used in that room for that reason. Didn't even miss the TV. The bathroom was clean and neat, like the kitchenette. Early in the morning she came out to open the gate for us. A hostess thousand. Will know where to book when going to Cape Town next time.
No TV in room. Because there is little to do and we are sports people, we would have appreciated TV. We were there for a funeral. Because it is winter and very cold, an electric blanket would have helped a lot. No Wi-Fi. Compared to other guest houses in the area, I will do my reference work better in the future.

We experienced problems and couldn't depart from our house at the planned time. As a result, we could only book in an hour after check-in time. Tannie Louise was always in contact with us and reassured us the whole way. She waited for us until late. The room was neat and warm. It met our requirements completely and gave us a safe, clean place where we could rest to drive early the next morning. We also had a special request with an extra bed to be arranged for us. We really enjoyed staying here. It's the perfect place for a quick nap. The owner specially waited for us later than the policy actually is. The service was very personal and above expectations. Very helpful hostess. She e.g. recommended places to eat and told us what was open on a Sunday night, and provided a container of water and chammy for washing off frozen car windows.
We drove all the way from Hermanus to Colesberg to attend a funeral. When we arrived, the owners were already waiting for us. We felt comfortable from the start. By the Saturday morning our car was giving trouble and the owners made sure we got to the funeral on time. At the guest house itself, they brought coffee and biscuits and made sure my husband had the necessary help. Until Monday morning, they really went out of their way to accommodate us. Many thanks to 2 wonderful people for your hospitality! I recommend you.
