"Old, but far from cold."

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this house which, I think, speaks for itself about value for money. The house is no longer today's child and the finishes show it, but the homely comfort far surpasses the appearance. We could see that the owner had made upgrades and that's why it remains our #1 choice. This time we felt that the house was not quite as clean as last time. There was still residue on the cabinet as the painters had sanded the wall and the tablecloth had a large dirty mark. However, that's all the 'negative' criticism I can offer. As far as the comfort of the house is concerned, the indoor braai with its large table is sure to be a nice family meeting place and dad can put the children back in their place with a game of cards or Catan. The big pool table had all its balls and the kids made me wonder if they were slyly hanging out in the wrong places. The biggest advantage of this house is its location. The teenagers could walk to where they wanted to be and little sister (10 years old) could catch timely & untimely 'bubbles' on the harbor wall to the point of boredom. If you are wondering about the traffic - don't worry. It didn't bother us at all. The neighbors are also all considerate and we were never bothered with late night noise. When it comes to safety, I don't think anyone should be naive in this day and age, but we never felt unsafe. The sliding door was mostly slightly open so that the cool sea air could pass through, but we would e.g. do not leave valuables in the braai room. All in all, we will visit Haweweg 5 again and I recommend it with a clear heart. A big "thumbs up" to the owner with a lovely family holiday home.

We visited Struis Bay to fish. The house's location was excellent for accessibility to the harbor - only 50m away. The house itself offers all the facilities required for a comfortable stay. The braai facilities are fantastic even if the weather is bad, we could braai.

It's close to everything and has a cozy homey feeling for a nice visit with friends. Thank you to the owners for sharing this nice holiday home with others. Everything needed is there and the rooms are so comfortable. It is an absolute bonus that it is walking distance from the harbor and the men enjoyed the fishing.

Beautiful house with enough rooms and enough sleeping space. There is also a beautiful stoep with braai facilities. Rooms were spacious and clean. Will definitely stay there again, Sanel was also very helpful and professional. It was very pleasant and it is truly a beautiful place with plenty of space. The location is fantastic!
