97 guests' feedbackWe had a wonderful stay, with even an inverter in the cottage and a lovely porch. We were warmly received and assisted with the unloading of luggage, as well as with our departure.
This is our second stay at Hexberg Cottage. The host is always very friendly and welcoming. This time we booked a bigger cottage which had a braai. We had friends who had also booked to stay there and friends who stayed at another guest house. The host allowed our friends who were staying at another guest house to park inside and braai with us. The host also let our friends shower after the Rhodes half marathon, extending their check-out time. Both stays have been very pleasant. The suites are well kept and well equipped.
We enjoyed our stay at Hexberg Cottage and will stay here again when in Wellington.

I had difficulty getting in - couldn't access the phone number so had to wait to be noticed! Three lines of washing directly in front of my space - not conducive to sitting outside. There isn't space to sit inside. A stool in the self-catering space would be helpful.

Direction is not my forte and took a wrong turn. However, the owners 'guided' me the last distance via mobile phone to Hexberg Cottages where they waited for me in front of the complex and received me kindly. Even traveled to my destination/appointment the next day ahead of me. Very nice stay. The unit is well furnished and has everything needed for my stay. There was a slight heat wave everywhere, but the air conditioner made for a cool room.

We were personally met and welcomed. The place was very tidy and there was fresh milk, tea, coffee and delicious buttermilk available. The only negative comment might be that you should definitely take your own shampoo and soap with you!

My wife and I came to visit the Cape from Ireland and Sandra made us feel very much at home as soon as we stepped in. The facilities are very clean, the bed is of good quality and everything is practically arranged to make it convenient for the guest. A very big advantage is that you still have WiFi, lights and TV during "Loadshedding". Sandra you are a star and thank you very much for your hospitality, we really appreciated it. I recommend the accommodation to anyone who wants to stay in a peaceful, safe environment.

Hostess Sandra received us kindly and passed on load shedding times. Provision was made with a flask so that we could boil hot water for times when the power was out. We left early in the morning and Sandra came to make sure that we did at least have boiling water for coffee, thank you Sandra!

We only stayed one night as we were attending a function at a nearby wine estate. Our cottage was clean and had everything you need for an overnight stay. They were kind enough to let us check-in early. Very good value for money and will definitely stay there again.

We were received kindly, the hostess made an effort to lend me a hairdryer, for example. We felt completely safe, and security is good. Kitchen area has everything we needed for overnight stay. Nice pillows and comfortable, firm mattress. Netflix available if that's your thing. What I missed are hooks for clothes or a shelf to put toilet bags on, and a shelf in the shower for soap and shampoo would also be handy. However, more oversight of cleaning and maintenance is needed.

You get what you pay for here: i.e. don't expect 5 star accommodation for the price you pay. However, for the price range, the accommodation is adequate. The units share common walls and are next to each other. You may therefore hear the neighbours' TV. The adjacent street traffic can be noisy. The host and hostess are friendly and hospitable.

Safe environment. Secure parking for your car. The apartment is painstakingly neat and equipped with everything you need. Friendly reception and help. Will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend it. Value for money.

For the female visitor, we would like to see a small shelf installed in the bathroom for the important toiletries. A full-length mirror in the bedroom would also be welcome.

We could only sleep over for a few hours but what we saw in the hour we were awake was all beautiful and neat. Would love to experience the beautiful surroundings during the day.
