This heritage house comprises 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a lounge as well as a kitchen that is fully equipped for a convenient self-catering stay. The main bedroom offers a king-size bed and a fireplace while the second and third bedrooms each have a double bed. The fourth bedroom is ideally suited for children, featuring a bunk bed set. All beds are covered with 100% percale cotton linen. Up to 2 additional guests can be accommodated on the sleeper couch in the lounge area.
The first bathroom is en-suite to the main bedroom and is fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. The second, separate bathroom is shared by the other 3 bedrooms and is fitted with a slipper bath, toilet, and basin. Outside, there is also a private hot and cold shower. Bath and beach towels are provided.
The lounge area leads out onto a deck and splash pool. It also features a TV with Netflix. DVD player, Hi-Fi, and fireplace. The dining area is separate from the lounge area. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine, and dishwasher.

It was a very nice weekend. The place is so clean and tidy, everything you need is there. Sally was always in touch with the keys and alarm etc. We can't complain about anything and we would definitely go again and I would recommend the place to anyone going that way. It's value for money and they offer good service.
The venue is neat and not far from the main centre of Port Alfred, they are pet friendly but small dogs may be able to get out. Accommodation is comfortable and well-equipped.
Will visit again for sure!
Hibiscus House is a fully equipped home from home in a quiet street close to everything. It's a beautifully renovated old wood-and-iron Settler home, with every conceivable modern convenience. The decor is lovely and the house is geared for comfort and privacy and loads of space, including a private garden with majestic trees, an outside cool-water jacuzzi and a hot-water shower. It's the perfect space for a holiday with friends and family. It doesn't have a view and it's not within walking distance from the beach, but it's a short drive from everything, including all the beaches, and a five-minute walk to the shops.
The house is very well equipped and the owners are very friendly and go out of their way to make everything possible for their guests. Very neat and clean, and animals are welcome.

Our stay at Hibiscus house was amazing from start to finish. Our booking process was smooth and easy. With constant fast communication from our great host Sally. The house itself is a pleasant surprise and exceeded our expectations. Spacious, super clean, comfortable and stylish. The location is so convenient and safe, close to restaurants and shops and a lovely river walk. We loved everything about our stay and highly recommend it to couples wanting a romantic getaway or families with kids. And an added bonus and a rare find for sure are that it is pet friendly. We will definitely be back.
The house is excellently equipped for 2 to 8 people. Spacious and tidy with everything you need for a weekend or weeks stay. Decor is beautiful and house creates a peaceful atmosphere.

Hibiscus House truly is an amazing place, despite its unassuming appearance. As a group we loved our stay and the amenities it offered in a quiet little part of Port Alfred. I would highly recommend it as the place to stay should one ever find themselves in need of a place to stay while visiting or passing through Port Alfred.
We were warmly received and the house has so much personality. Very well equipped and extremely tidy. Lovely fireplace and gas lamps that make you long for the good old days. Little things like beach bags with beach towels definitely caught my eye. Can highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again for a weekend.

We come down once a year for a reunion with friends to Port Alfred. It's our 2nd year staying at the Hibiscus House and we always have a such a great stay here. The house is clean, spacious and well laid out and slept 9 of us, no problem. It's a great location, close to the river and the best value for money around. We'll most definitely be back next year, thanks for the wonderful stay!

Hibiscus House is a home away from home. It is beautifully furnished and has every modern appliance one could possibly need for a long stay in the delightful coastal town of Port Alfred. My wife and I spent three nights at the venue and we highly recommend it as a venue for family holidays.

I would recommend Hibiscus House to anyone. It is a warm home-away-from-home place. Clean, tidy and very well furnished. Maybe the water from the geyser could be a little warmer, especially in winter.
