Very clean and everything in the room is just perfect. We just did a road trip and I was so disappointed with some of our other accommodation so it was so nice to walk into Honeylocust Guest House and everything is just 100%.
Friendly reception with everything done to prepare room for us on a cold and rainy evening in Colesberg. Unfortunately, after many attempts, could not successfully connect to the WiFi.
Bedding was clean and quality. Water pressure is good for showers and vehicle is safe. The breakfast was also quality with friendly staff.
What a feast to still have electricity during load shedding. If we ever have to stay overnight in Colesberg again, it will definitely be at Honeylocust!

We like to sleep at Honeylocus when we drive to the Cape. The rooms are spacious and modern, but comfortable with good quality beds and a delicious breakfast.
The place is very clean and tidy. We will definitely use Honeylocust's services again. The only problem we had was the neighbors dog who barked a lot.

Honeylocust offered a lovely stop over venue to refresh on route from CT to JHB. The rooms were super clean and tastefully decorated, the children loved the swimming pool and the service was friendly and professional.

Modern, clean and simple and exactly as advertised. Efficient and friendly service. The price is a bit high compared to other accommodation in the location. Although the breakfast was good, choice was limited and expensive for what was offered.

They are starting to get expensive though, and my last visit was 40% more expensive than the 30 days before the one. The other guest houses on Colesberg are much cheaper than HoneyLocust. I like them though will consider them again at least on my next visit.
Honeylocust is well located, in a quiet area. The room is spacious and attractively furnished. Maybe the mattress can be replaced.
The space, neat lawns and the dining hall with the delicious breakfast were very good for us. Access to the guest house is also very easy from the N1.

We spent one night there. The room is very neat, clean and lovely for the winter. It's nice and warm inside with an electric blanket and a lovely shower. We will definitely stay there again.
Very nice guest house and premises!
The guest house is very safe, but I find it a bit expensive, if compared to other places in the area. It's very central though and I like them rather than driving around between branches.
Honeylocust is a beautiful oasis in Colesberg, it is incredibly neat and clean and the booking went smoothly.
We have recently stayed at Honeylocust 2 times, 2 weeks apart. Our journey was very long so it was really nice to be able to spend the night somewhere where children could play outside on the neat, spacious lawn, we felt safe and could relax for the evening. Rooms are spacious, clean and tasteful. If I can criticize: would have liked a microwave in the room and the coffee is not great but there is a Seattle Coffee at the Caltex gas station.
It was lovely to arrive here and rest after a long drive.
We stay here often and are never disappointed. The facilities have all the necessary amenities, even with challenges like Covid.

Honeylocust is a lovely place, with spacious rooms and grounds, and everything is well maintained. The breakfast is of good quality; the dining room staff are friendly and helpful. It would be appreciated if the dining room and reception could be indicated with clear notices, as one expects these to be at the gate. The receptionist could have pointed out that the coffee corner and fridge were inside the TV cabinet. The configuration with the TV's control devices was also not clear. Older guests are not necessarily up to date with technology. We will spend the night here again; little things can be easily fixed.

We had such a nice night! The pool is perfect if you have children. The rooms and bathrooms are neat and beautiful. The restaurant's food was delicious!
Perfect place for a stop over in Colesberg. Such lovely green grass and well maintained gardens are a welcome sight when you arrive and the plunge pool with a bar are a win. The rooms have everything you need ( fridge / microwave, etc a bonus) and are clean and comfortable. I felt very safe as a solo mom - they have an electric fence. The sleeper couch was fine for one teenager, but two could’ve been a squeeze. Really can’t fault this establishment - they really have paid attention to detail to make the stay over an excellent choice.

It is an excellent overnight destination to and from the Cape. The facilities were extremely neat and we would recommend Honeylocust to people who want to use a professional overnight facility in Colesberg.

On arrival we were kindly greeted and ushered to our room with smiles on their faces; after more than five hours on the road, this was truly a welcomed sight. The owners of this magnificent place recognised that most of the guest that would overnight at Colesberg are tired travelers on their way to/from home, as a result of this they made sure that the dinner provided was prepared as quickly as possible. The staff were exceptionally kind and made us feel at home, they went out of their way to accommodate us and this was much appreciated. The rooms were quite large, well decorated and far cleaner than some we had encountered on our travels; spotless in every regard.

Honeylocust was a lovely stay for our family traveling between the Cape and Pretoria. Attention is paid to every bit of detail - think filter coffee in the room! Rooms are beautifully furnished with crisp white linen. Definitely eat at their restaurant, the food is unbeatable. The stay was a lovely treat to end our holiday with.

A beautiful guest house with nice green grass in a dry area. Like an oasis in the desert. We ate very well in the restaurant with food unique to the Karoo. Rooms and especially the bathrooms are large and very well furnished with everything one needs. Would recommend for sure!

Honeylocust is luxurious and stylish with all the facilities beautifully clean and tidy. Optionally, we enjoyed a very good breakfast before our departure. The room was well appointed. Parking is provided behind gates and under carport.
The stay met all expectations. The rooms are spacious, tidy and fully equipped for even more than one night's stay. The fact that the equipment is new is very positive. The site is very neat and the breakfast the next morning (extra) was very good.

Only little problem I had was the fact that it shows that there's a restaurant, but when I phoned they said that it is only open in December. It was very nice otherwise!
We had a lovely, warm, cozy and comfortable stay at the Honeylocust. Our agent was waiting for us when we arrived tired and body aching from Satara Kruger Wildlife Park in Colesberg. Thank you very much for lovely warm winter sheets, electric warm blankets, nice hot water and soft big towels! Dinner at the Plattelander was excellent and the breakfast at Honeylocust was 5 star quality! Rested and sated, we left Colesberg to start the rest of our journey back to Stellenbosch. Arrived safely and many thanks to and Honeylocust for a pleasant stay in Colesberg.
We travelled in winter. Excellent accommodation. Literally everything of the highest quality. Good value for price. Garden beautiful and buildings beautiful. Good night's sleep on a lovely bed with warm blankets and air conditioning. Will recommend at any time and will definitely use Honeylocust Guest House again. Best stay in Colesberg to date. Beautiful gardens, private, lovely beds and shower. Only suggestion is that the single beds in the twin room be replaced with three-quarter beds to accommodate adults sharing a room.
The guesthouse is modern. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious with a large variety.

We appreciated that Honey Locust accommodated us when we advanced our travel arrangements one day. The guest house is extremely neat and well equipped and it is our favorite overnight place every time we travel to the Cape.

Rooms are perfect, neat and clean with good modern furniture. Bathroom excellent, spacious and modern. Breakfast magnificent. The only complaint that detracts from the above is that the bed sleeps very badly. The mattress seems to have reached the end of its life a while ago. I pointed this out to management as well. Because it is the most important piece of furniture when traveling and sleeping over, we will give them 3 out of 5 stars in total. Were it not for the mattress incident, we would have given Honey Locust 5 out of 5 stars.

Such a pity one is always on your way to another destination when travelling through Colesberg, but as an overnight facility this place is really something. Lots of space, luxury and kind hosts.
We booked the family unit as we were 2 couples left. It's 2 private rooms with 1 beautiful bathroom. It's modern and clean, and the breakfast is delicious. They only serve dinner in high season/holiday times, so we went to eat in town at a really cute place that serves the most delicious lamb's tails. I would definitely recommend Honeylocust.

What an incredible stay, would recommend it to anyone.
Honeylocust does everything right to ensure their guests are satisfied and happy. The beautiful rooms are well equipped and takes care of solo business travellers as well as families with children. The swimming pool was a blessing at the end of 'n long day in the car. And to top it all off, dinner was unbeatable. Go ahead and try the mutton chops! Magnificent!

Lida was very helpful in accommodating us a night earlier. Although we did not stay on the site itself, we stayed in a cottage in the town centre. It was great. I would only recommend that the cottage also be equipped with an air conditioner. I would look no further than Honeylocust for overnight accommodation in Colesberg.

It was so pleasant to stay in a spacious room with decent beds and linen, and in the winter with warm sheets and proper, warm and quiet air conditioning. We slept like babies. The dinner was equally superb - best lamb curry I've had in a long time.
