8 guests' feedbackSo if you Google A'Damsview, the first accommodation that comes up is the units that overlook the Gariep Dam. So you automatically think that the house is next to these units. This house is nowhere near any of the units. The place is in a seriously dodgy part of the Gariep municipality. The hosts have misrepresented this house with their marketing tactics. Furthermore, on arrival, there is no water. Why is it our responsibility to now look around the house to find where to turn the water on? The light in the main bathroom doesn't work, the light in the bedroom with the 2 single beds doesn't work either. We had to take a bedlamp from the main bedroom for a light in the second room. As per a previous reviewer's comment, the aircon is extremely loud. Next morning, you wake up, lo and behold the toaster doesn't work. How does no one check these basics to be in working order before guests arrive? To be honest, I would ask for my money back because this was a really poor experience.

Very neat and spacious. Nice big living area. Nice braai facilities. Rooms are spacious and clean. Safe to park car in the garage.

Spacious living and visiting area. You guys might just post quick instructions for the washing machine. Our clothes accidentally got wet in our vehicle and had to use the washing machine, which was a bit strange for us.
House @ A'Damsview's name is totally misleading. The house is completely away from the dam and there is no dam view as the name suggests. The house itself is poorly built. The wooden deck on the north side poses a real danger. The bath is loose and also dangerous. I didn't feel like using the shower. The aircon in the master bedroom sounds like a Lister engine. The edging of the kitchen cupboard doors is coming off. At least the indoor grill was clean. The garage cannot be locked. I had to park a vehicle full of valuable luggage and belongings in it. There is a horde of cupboards in the kitchen, all basically empty. We had to use a stove pan for the meat that was fried, because there is no bowl available for the meat. This is no value for money. Never again.
We had a good time and rested at home on our journey home from the Cape. The house is very tidy, beds sleep well and there is everything you need. The house does not have a view of the pond (if that is a factor) and it feels a bit like a neglected neighborhood in which the house is located.
The facilities were clean and tidy and convenient.
