This is a wooden house with 2 levels. The apartment on the ground level cannot be booked. The house boasts easy access to the beach via a boardwalk leading through the reserve, between the houses and sand dunes. There are 1 restaurants within 5 minutes of the house.
Hummingbird can accommodate 5 guests and it comprises 2 bedrooms and a loft. The main bedroom has a double bed and its bathroom, fitted with a shower, is right next to the room. The second bedroom contains a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The loft room is furnished with a single bed. There is also a Smart TV and free Wi-Fi. Guests can sign into their own DStv Now and Netflix.
The living area has comfortable couches and chairs. The living area leads to a balcony with a view of the reserve and the ocean.
There is a gas braai on the balcony. Due to the high fire risk, guests are advised not to use the braai facilities on windy days.
Jeffreys Bay is within 5 km of the house and offers activities such as surfing, deep-sea fishing, kite surfing, sandboarding, and whale- and dolphin watching. Guests can visit the Charlotte Kritzinger Shell Museum or swim at Dolfyn Beach's Blue Flag Beach. Hiking in the 3 nature reserves, gymnastics, golf, bowls, tennis and horse riding can also be enjoyed in the area, while numerous restaurants, shops, the Fountains Mall and a clinic are within easy reach of the house.

Sunday morning hours done with event and Sylvia still helped us to open the smart lock, was perfect place to just rest and take in the sea ug. Comfortable, beautiful place with everything for self-catering.

Albie works on site and the place would not be the same without his friendly helpfulness. The environment is really a wonderful piece of paradise and I hope that the owners will always make an effort to preserve it. We rested wonderfully and enjoyed every moment. I almost want to be selfish and give bad feedback so the footfalls through the place will be less. But I can't. Thank you for all your efforts while we were there Silvia. The roses in my room were also a lovely touch.
It was really one of the nicest places, I can highly recommend it. It is peaceful with a great atmosphere. Bella, the manager, is one of the friendliest people and very helpful. Will definitely visit again.
A very neat, clean and comfortable place to stay. House has everything you need. Beautiful view and stunning beach. In this day and age with kids, WiFi and DStv would have been great.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Hummingbird 23 Houtbosch Bay. Silvia received us extremely kindly and made us feel at home. The unit is extremely neat and fully equipped, also with neat linen and tea towels. The view is beautiful and so nice near the sea. We will definitely come again!

Great stay! The chalet is excellently furnished. The cars were safe. Everything was clean. No. 23 very spacious with a wonderful view. Will definitely go there again.
The place was 100% made for us. View of the sea, silence, peaceful environment. The house itself was nicely equipped. Only laundry was a problem. Lovely holiday and we will come again.
The scenery and the sea view is a wonderful way to wake up in the morning. Will go there again to relax.
