Hythelands was comfortable and clean and the kitchen is well-equipped. The little wood stove in the lounge warmed the room incredibly effectively!
We went home in the Hideaway. It's especially the place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Wonderfully peaceful with a beautiful view of the dam. The fireplace in the living room quickly heats up the cold with only a few pieces of wood.
We did use it for a half way overnight destination, but it was a great place for the short time there. We will definitely go there again in the future.
This house has views to die for all around and classy, practical decor. All within easy driving distance from the Midlands Meander. Personal touches like farm milk, a milking tour and fresh flowers in the rooms are an added bonus.
We had a great time staying there and will definitely stay there again. Kids loved it. House is beautiful and nicely furnished.
It's a well-equipped house and an oasis after the long road. From the welcome note in the kitchen to the farm milk in the fridge, everything was great and our grandchildren enjoyed themselves on the big lawn.
Our stay at Hythelands was lovely, it was spacious tastefully decorated with special welcoming touches of flowers and scents, clean and very comfortable. Thank you Kim and Debbie for making our stay so memorable.
We only went for a long weekend but could have stayed for another week. The tranquility on the farm was true food for the soul. The house is wonderfully furnished - but the kitchen deserves a special mention, a real hangout kitchen. Debbie - thank you so much!

The Midlands is a very nice area, the house was a very nice and spacious house with a very cozy kitchen and a large dining table. The view of the Drakensberg was also exceptional.
Beautiful and very spacious farmhouse ideal for large group of 8-10 people. The road is bad, a short distance from N3. Ideally, arrive before dark, so stick to check-in times. This unfortunately makes it less ideal as a place to stay for a single night if you are traveling from the North to the coast, but was not a problem for us. Beautiful view and lovely kitchen with a large table around which one would like to spend a few evenings! Value for money.
