The property is over 23 hectares and bordering Swartvlei where you can do all the water sport you can think off, go for walks or do bird watching. There is a slipway near the property.
Accommodation is offered in exclusive and fully equipped self-catering apartments that each feature a terrace with panoramic views of the vlei and the mountains. Each spacious apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. Satellite TV and free Wi-Fi are provided.
Outside, there are braai facilities. On-site parking is available behind remote operated gates.

5 guests' feedbackWe spent two nights at Island Escape, and enjoyed our stay immensely. The unit has modern finishings, and the pictures do not serve them justice! For any nearby trips in the future, we'll definitely reach out for a next stay. The unit is perfect for up to two sets of adults, and offers plenty of space for vacations where you'd prefer to play board games or read at the unit, while offering a lovely lawn outside where children could play as well.
Was a nice and tidy place. We rested well.
What was meant to be only a pit stop in our journey turned into the highlight of our holiday. We ended up staying an extra day. The hosts made us feel at home from the second we arrived. Went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and have everything we needed. The kids especially enjoyed the canoeing. The place is beautiful. Value for money. Definitely going back. I can go on and on. Thanks again to Jossyn and Elaine. See you soon.
The accommodation was very pleasant and well located. The communication was extremely fast and helpful. The apartment is very well equipped with quality kitchen equipment and cutlery (everything you need), nice furniture and very comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay!
Large comfortable bedrooms with well equipped bathrooms. Very well equipped kitchen with everything one might need. Spacious living area. Island Escape is well located to visit the Wilderness area up to Knysna.
