63 guests' feedbackWe love this place and service. My husband and I stayed with them for 4 nights with our 5 week old baby, it was so nice. The animals are so tame and all around your baby really enjoyed being outside, I was even able to breastfeed under the lapa with the nice reclining chairs. There's just a ceiling fan there too! The pool is just big enough and nice and warm. Service was top notch, they even took care of my hair products that I forgot there! I would recommend the place to anyone!
There was a lot of noise breaking down. Have WIFI installed in tents, but in such a way that the unifier lights up the whole tent at night which causes a disturbance during sleep.
Loved our short stay, would have liked to stay longer, but a bit too expensive for our RSA budget. Still worth saving for it for that very special occasion.
The sink in the kitchen is uncomfortable. Just wash, don't rinse! Very friendly employees.
Accommodation was perfect with everything needed and with it a peaceful woodland atmosphere.
Enjoyed the tranquility of nature.

The tents were very luxurious and exceeded our expectations. There are an incredible amount of insects, precautions must be taken before traveling to that area.

While you sit and relax, the wild goats will come begging for a piece of lettuce. The banded mouse dogs play around in front of you. Later the warthog family walks by and then the kudu stands there as if he is on guard. All the while the birdsong and whistling is incredible. This is my house in Marloth Park.
The stay exceeded our expectations. The two-bedroom tents are essentially a small, private bush camp with two en-suite tents, a separate outdoor kitchen, small plunge pool, lapa and more. Each "forest camp" is very private and away from the main road. Rooms and bathrooms are stylish, clean, tidy and spacious. Ideal accommodation outside the wildlife park.
The campsite surprised with its privacy, exclusive ablution and plunge pool.
Great bush vacation, beautiful settings with a short trip to KNP.
Jackelberry is an incredible getaway in the woods. You have your own piece of paradise. You can enjoy the forest, animals and silence, but still be close to everything you need. The staff at Jackelberry are incredibly friendly and helpful and feel like family when you drive away. A must for any bush lover.

What a fantastic campsite. Extremely private, very clean and tidy and beautiful surroundings. The shower/bathroom is beautiful and clean. Convenient lockers and plenty of plugs and exterior lights. Delicious braai and beautiful private pool. I can recommend anyone to book here! We have already booked for October and December, and are really looking forward to it! Also looking forward to our night in September in the luxury tents. The staff at reception are incredibly friendly and helpful.
More than we expected. Staff went out of their way for what we needed. Even a picnic basket was arranged for our wedding anniversary.

What a breathtaking experience. We had a wonderful stay. At Tent 6 we had our own braai, lapa area and pool. The kitchenette was well appointed and even had a tripod pot for potty. We will definitely come again!
What a pleasant surprise, we stayed at unit 3 and it was absolutely worth every penny. The place was neat and clean and the swimming towels were so soft and smelted amazing, after travelling for the entire day, this was just the right place. Value for money and I would like to stay for longer next time. I forgot my one bag in the room which contained binoculars, sunglasses, money and other items and was pleasantly surprised that a staff member of Jackalberry Ridge called me whilst we were on the road to inform me about the bag, we made arrangement for the bag to be collected the next day. I received my bag all in tact with all the items still there. I can only say thank you to the staff and management of this gem which I will definitely recommend to my friends and family.
Was more than expected, a very nice place to stay, roof fans let you sleep well, wildlife walks past you and the pool is nice and cool. Thank you very much.

We had a great stay and will go there again. Manager called us twice in advance to make arrangements. We got there just after office closed and had to look for the note to show where the keys were kept. Even before we arrived the power went out and was off all night and when we left the next morning the power was still off - we realize that it's not the manager/owner's fault and don't blame them at all, in fact they did we were informed several times during the morning and afternoon, before we got there, that ESKOM was working on the problem, but a personal visit by the management early in the evening, might have contributed to even better customer service. However, we would love to go there again and have already recommended JR to a few people.

As a family we had a great time at Jackalberry. We had frequent animal visitors throughout the day and evening. Could clearly hear the lions roaring through the night from the Kruger one night, the next night it was owls, and the night after that the giraffes' chewing kept us awake. It was lovely and memorable. Very clean and good service at reception.
Everything was neat and clean. The rooms/luxury tents were beautifully furnished and all the linen was good quality and clean. Comfortable beds. The kitchen was equipped with everything I could think of. Didn't need anything. The camp is cleaned every morning. Clean, tidy bathrooms. Staff and reception very friendly. From now on I'll take all of our American clients to this place! Excellent service!
Our third time at Jackalberry. Luxury camping! Tented camps are well maintained and always spotless. We love the privacy, a true bush experience. Looking forward to our visit next year!
This was our third visit, and like the previous two times it was unbelievable. We cannot wait to go again! The tents and kitchen are very well equipped and the service is incredible. The warthogs and other game that come visit at sunset is also a highlight.
The service, accommodation, cleaning facilities are all top notch. The only negative is the bathroom downstairs, especially if you get up at night. Nice environment for driving, walking, cycling etc. Shops also very close with everything needed.
For those looking for a woodland break, this is a fantastic place. Goats and warthogs visit your cottage every day, you have your own clean splash pool and boma and kitchen with everything you need. The rooms and bathrooms are very neat with good quality linen. Will definitely go back again.
We had a nice stay here, Marloth Park is beautiful. We saw a lot of wildlife. The management is very pleasant and helpful. The kitchen is expectedly equipped, and everything is spotless. We will definitely go back again!

We traveled with 2 small children and had a great time. We stayed 3 nights in a luxury tent. We enjoyed the tent, had a swimming pool and the braai. However, the toilet and the bathroom are not located in the tent. These are on the ground floor. The tent is up first. It takes some getting used to, especially with small kids and their small bladders. As good as no insects in the tent. Definitely take the time to take a ride with the cars in the evening. No Big 5, but nice.

Jackalberry Ridge is honestly such a beautiful and spacious place. What you see on the picture provided is literally what you get. It was very personal as we had our own lapa area and splash pool so we could enjoy one another's company without looking into the other guests tents. The room, bathroom and kitchen area was exceptionally clean making it a home away from home. Looking forward to my next holiday there.
We initially had a neighbour who played music very loud but after calling the on duty manager the problem was dealt with. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay we will be back again that's for sure. Thank you.
Very good, only minor issue is that the toilet is downstairs. You could stay near your tent and all the animals wil come to see you

As there is no t.v in the rooms, its a lovely quiet getaway.
We enjoyed the relaxation of being in the bush with all the birdsong and animal calls while still being very comfortable. An easy 20 minute drive to the Kruger or to chill out on the river side.
We will definitely book at Jackalberry Ridge again. Hearing the lions at night was great.
The receptionist was friendly and the place was neat and private! We really enjoyed our stay and this is good value for money! nnWe had noisy neighbours on the Friday night and when we complained on the Saturday to reception they imediately called the guilty party and warned them they if this happened again they would be asked to leave. We were impressed as you don't often enjoy customer service like this anymore! nnWill definately visit again !
