12 guests' feedbackUnique experience, wonderful warm host and hostess, old-world chic house with farm silence and nature as your companion. Delicious barbecue pack (booked in advance) with a beautiful table setting and some 'treats' for snacking in front of the fire. Small 'finishing touches' were beautiful.
The attention to detail to make our stay comfortable was surprising. Thank you! The grill was clean, the wood and fire lighter ready, the garlic bread and the date balls and the braai pack. The meat was delicious! Our overnight stay was top notch.
The communication was very effective from the beginning and throughout. The hostess was at her place at the accommodation when we checked in. The bottle of water and watermelon salad in the fridge was a big bonus. Rooms are "rustic" but interestingly decorated which gives it a modern feel. Nice barbecue under the Karoo stars with wood they provided. If you like a big fire, bring more wood. The host and wife were immediately available when we had a problem with water in the morning (which was our own fault!) and it was resolved very quickly. One tip: put a "do not unplug or turn off" sign above the water pump's power plug in the living area. It was an incredible and unforgettable evening in the Karoo. Fresh air, lots of stars, wood fire, Karoo lamb chops and cold beer. What more could one want!
Great great great. Very neat and quiet. Our hostess and her husband received us so kindly and made us feel right at home. Would recommend to anyone anytime. Will stay there again for sure. We arranged for barbecue packages for the evening. Meat was deliciously tender and tasty.
Had a very nice stay. Perfect place to get off the highway and rest body and soul. The guest house has 2 main bedrooms which are equipped with a bed. Another room houses 2 single beds and each room is equipped with a fan. The bathroom is also well equipped with a shower, sink and toilet.
Beautifully clean and tidy. Very friendly reception with the most delicious fresh bread and watermelon salad. Just been terribly hot and had problems with their solar power, but hostess helped us immediately with power problems.
Outstanding! Karoo hospitality at its best!
We enjoyed it very much. Especially the Milky Way system in the evening and the delicious Karoo meat.
Annie was able to go jogging on the two-track road (Jeep Track). Awesome silence and the best mattresses in the Upper Karoo! Very friendly reception! Beautiful sunrise!
The friendly hostess and her family were waiting for us at our cottage to welcome us. The house is comfortable with solar power and lots of attention to detail. It is less than a km from the N12 and an ideal stopover between the Cape and Gauteng. Thank you very much, Izabe!
Friendly reception, clean and tidy place to stay. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay there.
Really liked the decorations and how everything was set up. Really friendly people. Unfortunately, I only stayed for one night but would love to return.
