The accommodation was very comfortable and exactly as advertised. Our hostess was also very helpful and friendly.

Clean and tidy, maybe too small for a long holiday but good for a few days. The sea access with lifeguards is a plus. Cute little shop helps too!

It is a comfortable place, close to the sea, although it is a little outside Plettenberg Bay itself and there was no restaurant.
The place is really customer oriented. Fully equipped with: medical kits, wood, flashlights, hair dryers, inverters. Private entrance to beaches. You will see us again for sure!
Beautiful area to holiday in, the unit was perfect for us as a young family. Nice walking distance to the beautiful Keurboom beach and we really enjoyed our holiday there. One small recommendation I can make, for the times when there is load shedding or power outages, maybe just provide a gas bottle and gas kettle so that guests can still make a nice cup of coffee, especially on those persistent rainy days. Otherwise everything was perfect and we would love to go back.
New development. Still expanding. The check out process is a bit confusing because there is no reception yet.
Dirty and no backup power.
The unit itself is acceptable, however, I have the following criticism: 1. The two single beds pushed together are extremely hard/firm and difficult to sleep on. 2. The inverter is noisy. 3. The shower door needs maintenance. 4. It is a small space, even for 2 people. 5. The "walls are thin", in that we could almost hear everything our next-door neighbours had to say. 6. The unit is close to where one enters the estate and not that close to the beach, as it seems from the advertisement. Despite the aforementioned, I would highly recommend staying at the Dunes, since the location is fantastic and the unit is suitable.

Very cute place. Everything one needs is there. Only one downside, if the power was off overnight, the geyser is cold the next morning when showering.
This is the second time we stay in Jolly Jenny @ The Dunes. It is just perfect. The location, the room is comfortable, modern, very clean and has everything we need. The price is very reasonable, and if you need any assistance during your stay the response is prompt and helpful. It’s a short walk from the most magnificent private beach. It can get a bit noisy when there are people staying in the adjoining room as it is in very close proximity. We will definitely stay here again.
The room was clean, modern and security very good. Only poor mark was that the front door was rotten at the bottom corner. Poor impression initially but because security is good and the rest of the place was lovely, the impression faded.
Our cottage was very neat and well equipped, down to an ironing board and iron - something you don't usually find in places.
The unit is very nice, clean and located in The Dunes which is very quiet and safe. It's just a short walk to the beach where you can hang out around a picnic table. We initially booked one night but liked it so much we extended it by another night. Travelers should note that apart from the braai facilities there are no cooking facilities. Just a frying pan and no plates, pots or pans. There is a small microwave to heat food and a kettle for coffee. The unit we lived in does not yet have an inverter, but it is planned and some of the other units apparently already do. The WiFi is quite slow; just fast enough for emails and WhatsApp, but not for videos. Abri, the manager, is very nice and helped us quickly with some requests. We would love to stay here again if we are in the area.
The apartment is clean and tidy. Only the front door needs attention. The security is good. It is within walking distance of the sea. Beautiful views. Lots of whales and dolphins to see.

All round pleasant stay at unit 83. We loved the amount of privacy with the little courtyard and under-roof braai area. Only suggestion I have is that you think of adding some rechargeable lights etc to accommodate for load shedding.

We joined family who stayed in the Keurbaai Estate so it was so convenient to stay at Jolly Jenny. The only thing that wasn't working was the air conditioner and it was pretty cold.
Was very satisfied with the unit. Value for money and very peaceful there.

Aircon out of order, it was damn cold. At least resort brought us a small fan heater. Mirror in bathroom has severe moisture damage, toilet only works when it suits him. Bath taps broken. Plugs do not keep water inside the tub, and when plugs are removed it takes hours to empty the tub or sink. Mold on the tub and shower. The unit is generally dusty, walls are dirty and full of marks, definitely not cleaned for our visit. We are very disappointed.
Would highly recommend him for a peaceful holiday. DStv 100%. Have no reason to complain.
Our unit was perfect. Very clean and open. Everything you need is there. We will definitely visit again. There are little things like the DStv that didn't work and the one bedside lamp, but it didn't bother us.

Our stay was lovely, the only thing was the loadshedding which was out of your control. Would have liked some more light in the room as the small one on the fridge was not working or the batteries were flat. Other than that, we had a good stay. Friendly people especially the security lady when we got there.

The pools are fantastically clean and gardens well maintained.
The unit where we stayed for three nights was extremely tidy, well equipped with accompanying carport and outdoor barbecue. The staff, especially Marika, really made an effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible with, among other things, A WiFi that was temporarily out of order. The Dunes as a resort is very well looked after. It is safely and conveniently located in relation to Plettenberg Bay and Knysna as well as the picturesque hinterland with many interesting attractions. In addition to this we had full use of both pools. On our previous visit to The Dunes, the hotel with its cute ladies' bar and restaurant still existed - unfortunately no more.

Not quite what we wanted on the day but we were only there for 2 days so it sufficed. We have stayed in other units in the past, and were expecting the same - ie more space, adequate cooking facilities etc. These units were right on top of each other, with a common garden area separated by a simple hedge, so no privacy. A longer stay would have been cramped, as I said, ultimately suited our needs for 2 days.

The location is perfect. It's so close to the busy Plettenberg Bay, but far enough to enjoy a peaceful, quiet and stylish holiday. The rooms are luxurious and all amenities are available.

We had almost no electricity for the 2 days and nights we were there, due to poor maintenance of the transformer. The white towels provided had brown marks and an unpleasant smell, as if they had not been washed properly.
The environment is beautiful. The Dunes is neatly maintained and the unit is large, clean and tidy, as well as tastefully furnished. The on-site cafeteria serves light meals and delicious coffee.
We spend the weekend at Jolly Jenny unit at the Dunes. The location is amazing, and a wonderful beach is a short (but steep:) walk away. The room was clean and comfortable (except the block drain in the shower which was resolved promptly and efficiently). There is a fridge (a bit noisy) and coffee/tea facility and limited cooking is available. All in all, we had a great time and definitely will return. Thank you!

Close to doing things. Accommodation is comfortable, kitchen small but is doable just short of a pan to fry an egg in.
These units were very nice for our few days stay. You can't see the sea and have to walk a bit. It didn't bother us at all, but it might be a problem for people who move a lot. Had wonderful weather which allowed us to walk long distances on the beach and also enjoy a lovely visit on the built wooden deck overlooking the sea. Rest of The Dunes quite nice and pool well maintained.
Jolly Jenny at the Dunes is basic yet excellent accommodation. The staff is very friendly and helpful and we will definitely be staying there again. Excellent coffee and pastries in the Coffee Shop, make you feel right at home. The resort is very well maintained and safety and security are outstanding.

Arrived very nicely in a clean, tidy house. Reception was very friendly and definitely worth it.
We had only two minor complaints. There was less than a quarter of the toilet roll left and no supplies of toilet rolls in the cupboards. We had to fetch our own from the car. This is completely unacceptable in any accommodation establishment. Also, the tin opener in the kitchen drawer was blunt and again we had to fetch our own one.
Stayed there for cycling event. Site staff very friendly and helpful.

Got to the place. Very secluded and quiet. It was load shedding, but the hot water was hot-hot. Air-conditioned room, spacious with a good parking space and braai area. The gentleman at reception was super friendly, dressed well, and was very helpful.

We would recommend Jolly Jenny anytime and will definitely stay there again. The house we stayed in does not have a sea view but is walking distance from a lovely beach. The cleanliness of the gardens and silence in the resort made up for the feeling of being close to beaches. Keurboom Beach and Plettenberg Bay are a few minutes' journey from the accommodation and the restaurants in the area are top notch. The cleanliness of the accommodation was outstanding and although it is quite small, we did not feel confined.

A Speed limit of 10 km/h must be adhered to at all times to ensure the safety of children and pedestrians.
No laundry may be hung from balconies, windows or doors of any units where it is visible to other residents. A laundry service is available on the resort. More information is available at reception.
No person may by law tamper with or use fire fighting equipment for anything other than the intended purpose. Misconduct in this regard is a punishable offence.
All residents must be in possession of an access disk to enter the resort. Guests are issued with a vehicle disc to allow access. No access will be granted if proof of residence cannot be provided. Owners of units are required to inform security if they are expecting visitors and must provide details of the visitors. No exceptions will be made.
Noise levels are to be kept to acceptable standards at all times so as to not cause a disturbance to other residents or guests. Silence must be maintained between 22h00 and 07h00 at all times.
Parents are responsible at all times for the behaviour of their children including any noise caused. All children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult when using the swimming pools and playground facilities.
No units may be over occupied as per municipal bylaws. Villas may house a maximum of 8 persons, Duplexes a maximum of 6 persons and Studio units a maximum of 2 persons.
The bush area between the resort and beach are protected areas and therefore may not be used for entertainment or throughfare, except for the designated walking areas. The bird and wildlife may not be disturbed under any circumstances.
Braais are only allowed in designated areas. No fires are permitted on any lawn areas, carports of Studio units, wooden deck overlooking the beach or the beach itself.
All cleaning of fish must be done in the designated fish cleaning sink at the beach lawn area. Fishing hooks and lines must be discarded in the designated bins for this purpose located at the end of the beach steps. A fishing license is required for fishing on the beaches.
