Paternoster very unique, tranquility, beautiful sea, friendliness of the town's people, all within walking distance. Joyful perfect home.
The towels were torn and chipped. With our complaint, we were asked if we got it that way. And when the towels were replaced, they were found to be broken. The linen not properly fitted on the bed. There is a severe shortage of basic kitchen utensils. No percolator. Wooden boards are done. Too few plastic containers and then lots of lids without bowls. House was not properly cleaned. Wooden chair broken. Plastic table outside fell apart luckily without food or glasses on it. Very noisy in surroundings. One room had no hangers to hang clothes. Unfortunately would not be able to recommend this accommodation for the fee charged. The pool was a plus. One toilet seat was broken and repaired after complaint. The shovel and broom have seen better days and really should have been replaced a long time ago. Looks bad.
Everything was perfect. It's only the parking for the vehicles that made us feel a little uneasy.
Such a charming little home. Perfectly situated and great for families with kids.
The children had a lot of fun swimming in the pool. Comfortable place.
Oulike huisie met onortodokse uitleg waarvan ons baie hou. Baie goed toegerus met alles wat nodig mag wees behalwe 'n swartpotjie. Die eenheid het dalk net verby die punt van rustic geglip en lyk nie meer so netjies soos op die foto's nie, veral buite en om die swembad. Dak lek op verskeie plekke en mure kort 'n nuwe laag verf en algemene aandag. Maar steeds lekker gekuier.
2 doors were not opening (maintenance did attend). Not enough water in the pool, had to switch off the pump, otherwise it made a horrible sound. Dirty rags and rocks at the bottom of one of the doors to keep wind out I guess (doesn’t look good). Spider webs, property not well cleaned. Found underwear in the drawers from previous occupants. Furniture looking tired, full of spots and frilling. Carpet under dining room table.
Peaceful and rustic/modern.
Will return to Joyful again anytime.
There was a hole in the ceiling and the smoke went into one room because of that. The pool was dirty.
The pool was a bonus, kids swam day and night. Maybe have an iron available. Would love to visit winter time.
Inside braai and fireplace a bit of a hazard, smoke inhalation. Service was phenomenal, however not our ideal location. We will however visit Paternoster always. Paternoster is chilled.
Even though it was quite windy that weekend, the stay was memorable.

House rules
No check-ins or check-outs are offered on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.This unit may only accommodate the number of guests as specified on the booking invoice at any given time.
No loud music is permitted after 22:00.
No parties are permitted on the property; management reserves the right to evict tenants that do not adhere to this rule.
Kindly note that we do not have the authorization to do credit card payments on behalf of guests, we only accept EFT/Bank transfers.
A refundable key and breakage deposit of R 650.00 is payable on arrival and is refundable within 7-14 working days, after the house has been inspected and all found in order. Keys will not be handed over under any circumstances without full payment received.
There is a pet fee of R250 for up to 2 dogs per house. No more than 2 dogs at a time.
