11 guests' feedbackIt was a welcome escape from the city. Quiet and very beautiful scenery. Old farmhouse has a special atmosphere and the horses (domestic and wild) were therapy.

No water on arrival, water tank was empty and had to wait an hour for water to be pumped, when there was water later, there was only a small trickle of hot water in the shower. Although we were told there was no crime, it remains SA and there are no locks on the doors. At least the bedding was clean, but because it is brown and old, it does not look clean and tidy at all. My honest opinion, knowing what I know now, I would have rather paid R300-R500 extra for another guest house in the area.
If you are looking for tranquility and amazing sunsets, this is the place. Horses on the front porch. Everything you need for a break from the city, without the frills. Basicly equipped, but comfortable.
Bed sleeps very well. Horses are beautiful.
Place is dilapidated. Toilet is outside on the porch. No door handles, only sliders on doors. Bath has rust marks. Sink plug tied with wire. Baseboards show severe signs of termites. Shower curtain does not fit, no shelf for soap or shampoo. No bed mats, place should have been painted out a long time ago etc, etc. The list could go on for a long time. Never again. Compared to other guest houses they should pay someone to stay there.
It was a really amazing horsey adventure. Scooters are highly advisable - lots and lots of fun. Go walk to the waterfall.
Rustic and really great for horse lovers and those who need to get away from big city life. Loved it and will go again.
