Very comfortable and clean, nice location that felt secure. Each room has an aircon unit, although the units themselves are quite noisy and have a large flashing display on the front that can't be switched off - not great if you're a light sleeper!

What a wonderful place. Everything was clean and tidy and had everything needed. Secure parking for vehicle, as well as braai for each unit. Units are cleaned every day, as well as new towels are replaced. Even the aircon was turned on one afternoon by the ladies on duty (in the heat) and we were pleasantly surprised when we came back cold from the Valley of Desolation. Well done, will definitely stay here again when in the area.

It's our 2nd time staying overnight at KarooRus. First time was fantastic. The second time was not as good at all. The unit was not up to standard at all. There was only one glass! And the dish towel was full of hair!

Everything was well organized, neat and as expected. They even helped with a list of restaurants in town. Only complaint is that you can hear other guests quite easily, so you hear everyone moving around throughout the evening and early morning hours.

We arrived in Graaff Reinet on a sweltering day and were surprised with the cleanliness of the self-catering unit. Everything is spotless and tidy and secure parking.
The service at KarooRus impressed us. They sent good directions in advance of what to expect and even though we got there late in the evening, everything went well. As it was a hot summer evening, the aircon that was on in our room was also very pleasant. The cleaning staff who were on site the next morning were also friendly. Our dogs just made friends with them.

On arrival it was terribly hot. Room's air conditioner did not work. Staff could not help with the adjustment either. Would have liked at least ice in the freezer. Curtain rail was broken and so curtain fell from rail. One window trim was completely broken and fell into the driveway when we tried to open the window. So window could not stay open due to broken clip. Two single beds creaked so much when you turned over that we got very little sleep. Shower door opened and closed with difficulty.

We were there in a very hot period and the air conditioning did not keep up. The rooms are in a converted old house with creaky wooden floors - if your spouse is a light sleeper this is a problem.

KarooRus is a beautiful place, clean, tidy, which I would recommend to anyone. The reception was warm and welcoming and efficient arrangements in advance. The only problem is that they have to do something about their smoking policy - a separate smoking area away from the accommodation would be recommended.
We had warm welcome and a good rest at this lovely secure stop. What was really impressive was the handicap facilities that were put in place in the bathroom. Hand railings at the toilet and in the shower as well as a shower seat. This is not seen often. I was travelling with a dog which was no problem for this host. Thank you and we will call in again.

Accommodation very comfortable and clean. Good customer attendance by personel. However, I would suggest that a clause be brought in that say "NO DOGS ALLOWED". One of our neighbours came in with a small dog which barked at all hours during the night and eventually we left at just after 03h00 that morning instead of 06h30. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay and surroundings while it lasted. Hope to visit again.

This beautiful overnight stay has everything one could need for a self-catering accommodation, from braai facilities, a nice fridge for the carpool stuff, microwave and all kinds of essentials for cooking, even an iron and ironing board. So centrally located that one can simply stop at a variety of restaurants if one wishes. Thank you very much for a wonderful night's rest. It had been easy and fun, even with two small children.

We stayed in Graaff Reinet for 1 night and KarooRus was definitely a great option for our famliy with 3 youn kids under 8. The room was large enough to accommodate all of us and the patio with the braai and small lawn was ideal for the kids to stretch their legs after a long day on the road. Elmarie's communication before our arrival was great and we were warmly received. Lovely beds and the children's books in the room was a personal touch that made us feel at home.

KarooRus is lovely overnight accommodation for the self-catering tourist. The tea pots with tea mousses impressed us seeing as we are tea drinkers. Calm decor with enough light in the rooms is a plus. Will stay here again if we pass through, even then stay a little longer.
We had a very good time in KarooRus. They provided us with a baby cot and the cleaning of the apartment in the morning was really outstanding! From the apartment there is really good access to the nice restaurants in Graaff-Reinet and the Camdeboo National Park. A very good place to stay for a few nights!

It was very nice to stay at KarooRus. It's easy to find, Elmarie was there to receive us. The air conditioning makes it nice and comfortable, it's also very clean and tidy. Secure parking for the car so we didn't need to take everything out. We had a great stay, thank you very much!
